In my new job for a week . General manager calls me in for a chat and says " Can I speak plainly ? The owner doesn't like you " . Fortunately , it was the support of him and other staff who have worked with me previously and even staff from the manufacturer that convinced him to employ me .

But that's a fair Sword of Damacles hanging right there . But im gonna use it as motivation . I'm sure if the dollars start rolling in he'll learn to like me .

Fair question . In fact its the obvious question which i have failed to ask myself in the heat of the situation . Cheers for opening my mind .He has probably spent a total of 2 minutes in my company . You now have got me thinking whether there are some serious mind games being played

But the beauty of the motor industry is that all is forgiven when business is good . And considering I hope to be sipping cool beer in the tropics , happily retired in a few years , my concerns are limited to a brief period .
