No, that's not licensed for use as an antidepressant in the UK. I'm coming off escitalopram and taking venlafaxine after, but I'm going to finish off my remaining 20mg escitaloprams first before tapering it off so they don't go to waste.

Then I have a 10 mg box - take 1 day, then half a day, then half every other day, stop, then start venlafaxine 75 mg, and after a month up to 150 mg.

They wouldn't let me increase the dose of escitalopram, or augment it with bupropion or modafinil as that's all off label stuff in the UK. So Venlafaxine was the only better thing allowed.

Interesting... doctors can't prescribe off label drugs in the UK? I'd bet for psychiatry, off label drugs probably do people more good than on label drugs....

Technically, it isn't a double major, it's two different degrees, one BA and one BS. It's also just kind of where my interests fall, and I can accomplish it while going at a reasonable pace. So why wouldn't I take more religious studies classes when given the opportunity?

Human activity is causing global warming for sure. The second one presents a bit of a false dichotomy. Genesis 1 describes the moon as being made to "rule the night," so early Hebrew mythology suggests that God delegates his power to celestial bodies. But then attempting to apply Hebrew mythology to scientific understanding and vice versa is pretty much universally disastrous, so you shouldn't read much into that. I think John Calvin might have an interesting response to the dilemma. He remarked, regarding the miracle of the Sun turning back described in Isaiah 38, that this shouldn't be seen as particularly remarkable, since God is already responsible for the Sun's regular motion around the earth, and is indeed the source of motion, period. The motion and the very existence of all the universe is contingent on God's will, according to Calvin, and really most any classical theist. Again, there's a premodern understanding of astronomy in play there, but I think the basic principals are worth contemplating.

GPs cant, Psychiatrists can ... But they seem to be ignoring my referals to the NHS.

Venlafaxine is a nasty thing to come off once you start taking it, escitalopram & modqfinil or buproprion augment would have been a lot safer.

My adviser still has me down as History/International Relations/Political Science major major major

I'm going to cut out political science and just do history and international relations as my two majors. Though if I really wanted to apparently I can do a couple summer classes and squeeze poly-sci as a third major. Not sure if it's worth it though.
