Today is the aftermath of the election. This is a rave because for the next several months (depending on if the minority government makes it through the next budget vote), I will not have to listen to anymore political attack ads on TV.

I've been seeing them pretty consistently (not all the time, but every so often) since 2016.

Made good progress unpacking, sorting and getting rid of stuff yesterday. Didn't make as much progress as I would have liked but that was partially because I had a long interview to do which killed our momentum. But I killed the interview and will be headed out for an on-site sometime soon.

Last time my friend and I indulged in psychedelics we went up to the Muir Woods, on the other side of the Golden Gate from San Francisco. He brought an entire package of dried pears and ate all of them except the three or so I ate (I brought some snacks of my own, and we both had water).

On our way out he had to make a pit stop at the bathroom. I'm not sure how long he was really in there, but at the time it felt like we were going to be stranded out there overnight.

I dunno how well you know it but we basically went straight up the side of the "valley" where the parking and stuff is, and came out onto the top of the ridge where you can see the Golden Gate, most of SF, and a good section of the entire bay, took our shirts off and basked like lizards. It was quite awesome. Taking the ferry back to SF from Sausalito at sunset might have been the best part.

Pretty sure I know the ridge you're talking about - it's glorious. We hiked through the woods before heading up to the ridge and there was some guess work as to which specific trail would lead to the crest but we found it and it was glorious.

Agree. When I lived in Mountain View (age 10-11), Muir Woods was one of my favourite places to (ask my dad to take us to) visit.

It's not even Halloween. I switch the station, usually, until after Thanksgiving. I really rather love Christmas, but mostly because it isn't actually 20% of the year.

Speaking of political ads, I'm really glad I avoid most of the media markets people give a crap about. I think I saw like 4 last presidential election. If I can keep it to like a half dozen I'll be pretty satisfied.
