Rebalance of 2/3 of all civs in April!

Not likely considering we already have two different Teddys, which are essentially two different leaders. Either way I think America is in a good spot and doesn't need a second leader like other civs.
That’s too bad. I don’t really like the 2 Teddys. Lincoln and Washington fit more with the general concept of the greatest leader of each civilization. It’s true that America is currently a stronger CIV but the leadership situation is bizarre. It would make more sense to have Lincoln and Washington represent 2 different Americas instead making a false dichotomy with split Teddys.

Among the 2 Teddies, one of the Teddy is the Imperialist Teddy (well, Monroeism Teddy, actually), and I don't think either Lincoln or Washington were imperialists. :mischief:

That’s also true, but I still would not rate the country or leader stronger under either Teddy. If the goal is having an imperialist president, they could have Jackson or similar ilk. It’s just weird to have the likes of Victoria, Ghandi or even Eleanor, and not have Lincoln or Washington. If imperialism is the criteria then get rid of the diplomatic, economic and non domination victory options and likewise with the cultural human wonders. Or if the US has to have an imperialist Teddy, make the other option Lincoln or Washington. Same way for Eleanor, pick one variation and get a different leader for more options.

maybe they should've had william mckinley for the imperialists? :shifty:
Possibly but Jackson is the closest we have to a true imperialist given betrayals like the Trail of Tears. He combines the territory acquisition and dehumanizing aspects of the imperialist.

I don't know... look at how Mckinley treated Philippines...

My wishlist for April patch:

  • Cards or governor promotions to boost production rate of military engineers (and hopefully number of charges) and siege units
  • Martyr (apostle promotion) to trigger when unit is condemned by enemy's military units (or a separate promotion that does this)
  • Buffs to underwhelming/outdated civs and leaders
  • Infantry oil requirement is elevated (either removed or reworked, so that infantry can be built independent of tanks' tech tree part)
  • Monopolies tourism fix
  • Recon units buff to make them actually worthwhile building throughout the game (production boost policy/government promotion won't hurt). Actually they need combat strength buff
  • Anti-cavalry units to provide ZoC against cav and heavy cav
  • More specialist slots and unlockable/conditional buffs to their yields
  • Buffs to underused world wonders, pantheons (there are some that are ignored almost all the time)
  • Hopefully new siege unit for Medieval era or anoher solution to mitigate medieval walls (probably asking too much here)

Fraxis usually releases their updates in 20's so 19th is most likely.
If, they did release a video on the 12th, the release date would be the 22nd (i.e. still in the 20's). But, in any event, as I said it's unlikely in my opinion simply because of the scale of the update. I imagine FXS will want to take as much time as they can to iron out any bugs. Fwiw, 6 of the NFP updates have been on the final Thursday of the month, while 5 have been on the second to last Thursday, so really either date could be possible based on precedent. :)

Video has been confirmed for the 12th according to Facebook.

Yeah I assumed it would be end of the month.

Of course I don't think I've been right about one of these yet, so there's that.

Oh... did anyone see their wording?

"The final FREE Update coming to Civilization VI."

So I guess that de-confirms NFP Season 2...

Actually, a Final Free Update of the Game, would mean there is no more Content comming to the Game anymore (Free or DLC). Because there is always free updates after a DLC.

But I doubt that it's the last free update to Civ VI (an update of the changes from this update and of the Zombie Mode are inevitable). I think they just meant the last one of the NFP Free Updates, as they're different from normal free updates, because they contain much more Features than these latters and need much more effort/work.

Edit: misunderstood you. My Bad :crazyeye:
