Still?!?!? Is this an event I can mitigate, or do I just have to sit it out? And I am assuming it is a random event and not an action taken against me by another player, right?

You haven't exactly said how much gems are worth compared to ore.

Ore Refineries produce $100 at creation, +$50 with each new upgrade.
Gem Refineries produce $200 at creation, +$100 with each new upgrade

A Tech Center drains 100 Power. That alone takes up a 100% of your power grid (you only have two power plants).

Build more power plants.

Fixed. Their Gem Refinery was on another page in my stats and was truncated when I posted the building list. On another note, ALL their ore is in the first ore refinery. No friggin' idea what keeps happening to West Africa's stats in Word.

Sorry that I have to say this, but I'm dropping out. I'm already busy being involved in other forum games, and with Finals 3 weeks away, I want to make sure I do good on them. But, this was a fun game and all. Just make sure to NPC the Mexican Federation because I'll be less busy during the summer, when I'll be more active on the forums than I currently am.
