Red Kremlin or White Kremlin?

Red or white?

Verdigris is the colour of oxidised copper*. It is an accepted effect of copper roofs (which must be horrendously expensive to repair - or build in the first place). I reckon tastes vary, but red and green are considered fashion no-nos in certain parts. Or is that just a seaman's superstition?

*unless I'm mistaken, of course.

That red and green are fairly common on churches and other old buildings. Who made them fashionably unsound all of a sudden? Gay agenda, anyone? :sheep:

Bricks are red and copper turns green. This is the color of the world before exterior decorators.

:D

Red brick walls and oxidised copper goes together very well, because it's the traditional combination.

Betcha that's red limestone. Or it could be red sandstone. I couldn't find out which - but I'd go with limestone. But bricks? I'd like to see some evidence of it in Moscow, traditionally.

Taken on its own, I'd prefer the red, but the white goes nicely together with the rest of the buildings.

It looke like the "bring me a shrubbery" campaign worked out quite well.

Did anybody else think this was a white Russian vs. red Russian thread?

White, as its a better visual sign of the limitless power of the state.

Probably the red one, though I think the white looks alright too.

How about this one?

A question of aesthetics:

Those walls go by the Red Square, right? If that's the case then it is only proper for the color to match.

The white looks so clean!
