If it's a 3000 BC start, you do run the risk of having Rome squatting on your land at the beginning, or some sort of Mega-Persia perched in Anatolia, just waiting to hop over into Europe and clean your clock. But it'd still be pretty darned cool in any case.
Jerusalem is Christian Holy City? if not you should've started in 600AD. i don't like (full) Muslim/Buddhist Europe, it's strange.

Thanks. And yeah it did, but there were hardly any options available and I chose to put the dates in the headers, so that the readers would have easier time following the story.
About my new story, I haven't started it, because playing as Germany was quite boring tbh; from story telling point of view that is. Now I am torn apart by the country that I'll make the story about. Germany is still possible, but also I am considering re-creating the British Empire, although Icaria just tried to do that it in his excellent story...
