[R&F] Rise and Fall Screenshot discussion

Ed has just kept repeating that the multiple leaders is for the modding community mainly.
Believe you me...I want you to be right!
Its not Ed's ship anymore.

But really its an effective way to change the old civs for the new mechanics. For instance you can't give Persia a Golden Age bonus since people could own Persia DLC but not the new xpac and therefore not have access to the Golden Age mechanics.

Wouldn't nine leaders mean we have at least a leader for each of the new Civs and an alternate leader for maybe a new one or an existing one?

Time to discuss the screenshots from the expansion announcement! :p

I will get the ball rolling with the first one.

2 new wonders. Buddha Statue thingy and square european wonder.
New district? Unique culture district? I'm going towards the first, because of the building graphics.
Unique monument graphics.
Mesa natural wonder?
2 3 New luxury resource along the river. (One unimproved what looks like plantation resource, 2 mines.)

that new resource looks like either: Gold or Amber (probably Amber)
the other one on the right is Jade, we already have that.
Don't know about the palm trees, maybe Dates, but that'd be a bonus and not a luxury.
new district (dark purple) probably something politics/bureaucracy-related.

Second screenshot: Pretty sure that's a water entertainment district, or just a normal entertainment district placed on water (updated placement rules)

third screenshot: new wonder: pretty sure that it's the Statue of Zeus, a wonder we've seen in many civs already.
Plus: you can see some drones flying around! and de two dudes on the airport look like a Spec-Ops-Unit.
And the thingy in the snow could as well be a new wonder since i don't see any space to build any buldings inside the district...

Just right of the Theater Square. Doesn't look like a wonder, but it takes up a tile and it also can't be a rework of the Holy Site because we see a (normal) Holy Site on the left. Also looks like a wonder on the right of the oasis and something else new on the right of that.

EDIT: Oh wow now it's bigger than on steam, guess I'll see if I can find more.

EDIT2: Natural wonder: The arc on the left.

EDIT3: Either a new district or a water Entertainment Complex on the right of the Commercial Hub above the city. I think the thing on the right of the wonder is a modern fishing boat?

EDIT 4: Also Statue of Liberty confirmed.

Tile next to Theater district might be the new city park tile improvement and the one in the bottom right corner might be the new fishery tile improvement. Both are unlocked through the governor tree I believe.

Probable drone sighting over snowy neighbour in this screenshot.

Oh, you mean that thing over the neighborhood. I was confused by your comment at first.

Here's hoping we see a screenshot with the Special Ops still having a dog with them.

That one wonder is really bugging me. It’s certainly Islamic architecture, but it lacks the minarets you’d expect from a mosque. It has crenellations and is certainly fortified, but it does not look Moroccan, so won’t be a kasbah.

The blue dome suggests a central Asian or Persian caravanserai, but the fact it has a coastal feature throws that off too.

The only one I can find with late night google-fu is the red forest around Chernobyl, but I doubt that would be it

Yes, that's the only one i found as well when i googled it.

It seems like it's a wonder in a cold biome, some kind of taiga wonder, so it's probably a wonder in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Russia or Alaska / Canada. It could also be a famous forest in an autumn theme like Black Forest, but that would be pictured different.

EDIT: And it's probably not Teutoberg Forest as well. Hard to say actually.

Maybe it doesn't need to be coastal but next to water only, so a lake or river would work too. Or the water is really just an illusion.

The classic temple is bugging me just the same. The open roof suggests it to be a Statue of Zeus wonder that includes the temple. But the rest of the temple is so at odds with the Zeus temple at Olympia. Why the stairs? The statue in the east? The two horsemen statues in front of the temple suggest more of a roman wonder. And I can't get rid of the feeling that I know the building left of the main temple...

Also Washington Square Park, though I'm not sure if that's really fair to classify in general as a world wonder. Its certainly a cool place, but maybe its a unique improvement or national wonder of some kind
Definitely a Wonder since only districts and wonders have roads under them but this is too specific in its artwork to be a district.

Washington Square Park is a very strange choice for a wonder.

I hope it is a Park district, of those types of districts that it is not possible to build buildings in it, such as Aqueduct and Neighborhood. They may be using Washington Square Park just as a model.

You can very easily code it so that it doesn't activate if you don't have the expansion. This is already built into the game in a way that modders can do it easily, so I'm sure Firaxis can too.

Maybe this forest in Grifyno, Poland

called crooked forest

edit: nevermind, since it's created by humans in 1930... . And they would highlight the curves.

Could it be the Palace of Husuni Kubwa at Kilwa?

One of the google image search results looks like it.
