Ah, Iceland. That's safe. I was just thinking that if Norway makes the same choices this turn as last, to invest in trade rather than build troops, you may be in the interesting position of having a huge treasury but losing all provinces! But no, at least Iceland is safe for at least 1 turn and probably longer.

By the way, Roddy, (as if Norway weren't rich enough already) - they should be $13 on the board, not $12. 4 towns (51, 67, 65, 64)= $8, 1 city (66) = $3, 2 empty provinces (62, 59) = $2. $8+$3+$2=$13.

I'm in. Africa, Russia and France are too, and even though we're at war, I am not stealing russian caravans. I'm slightly unsure who else is in, though.
Might be nice collecting it so we don't have to wade through pages checking who it's safe to send to.

Altough this might be obvious, we wish to state (to avoid any misunderstandings) that our former trading agreement is not valid anymore.

To Norway:
As you may know Turkey isn't in AFTA, but we hope you haven't forgotten our own trade agreement. I'm saying this just because this would be the worst possible moment for Turkey to get their caravans stolen..

Territory 17 - Africa 1 vs Spain 1
The defences of the newly built city hold their own, and repel the last of the Spanish forces. Spain is no longer a sovereign nation.

Territory 33 - Austria 1 vs Rome 2
Hoping to sneak by the Romans, the Austrians fail, and encounter a larger Roman force. The Austrian offencive quickly failed, but they did damage the Roman armies quite a bit.

Territory 46 - Turkey 6 vs Africa 8 (counting the city)
The Turkmen try to stall an african invasion before it starts, but the newly engeneered city's defences and a run or realy bad luck prove their downfall.

Sea M - Turkey 1 vs Africa 3
The Turkish captian was able to use his supperior knowledge of the seas and all the luck that the battle in 46 was missing to sink two of his enemies before going down.

Territory 59 - Russia 7 vs Germany 6
It is unclear who the Germans were attacking, The Norwegians that own the province, or the Russians who were taking it back. But in either case, their surprise attack proved wildly successfull, and they beat a larger Russian force.

Terriotory 66 - Britain 40 vs Norway 41 (counting the city)
This epic battle is to go down in history as the largest land battle ever recorded.

Econ in a few. here's the map. things to note:
1. the city in 46 got built in one step, costing africa 15 gold (engeneered city)
2. the armies that took 68 came off the fleet in G.
3. randomness seems to have run a mock this turn. the 3 biggest battles went way off average.

no. that is not allowed. besides, i'd say you're better off now then the last few turns. grow some cash in trading and you'll take most of your land back no problem.
