The final stats are going to be crazy... how many mech infantry alone have been churned out?

Highly trained warriors from all over the world are converging for a final showdown in zululand ... kind of fitting for it to be happening this week!

When you finish off your last rival, you should be required to say:

    "There can be only ONE"

Am I showing how old I am with that reference?

    This is even more awesome

I really can't decide which RPC is more evil -- this, or the all Monty game LOL

Haha Highlander, great movie back then. Hmm, shows how old I am too since it is from 1986.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091203/

But no worries Kev, you are not that old. At least, I don't think so ;)

Haha, you meant the "I told you I killed you last. I lied" quote. Yeah brilliant too. Too bad Mad is not doing anymore RPC's otherwise a movie variant would have been nice :)

Now lets wait for this thing to end. "Make my day"

I recognized both quotes and I was born after the films premièred so it doesn't have to mean you're old, even though you are. :D

Sid Meier, The Civilized Tyrant: Past RPC Vengence and the Prelude to Armageddon

As Sid calmly ordered his Civfanatic generals around prepping for the war to end all wars and extremely unexpected and odd thing happened.

Shaka broke away from Zara and declared war on Mehnem!

Sid smiles for this is just too good of an opportunity to miss!

Civfanatics are lined up on appropriate fronts.

All newly created units are assembled near the healed armada, and at the City of Echo of Celts where a second massive armada is under construction.

Shaka is roaring and screaming at Mehmed as he foolishly wastes what little resources he has. He also seams totally oblivious to the massive armies on his borders.

So Sid taps the Big Zulu on the shoulder to say

SHAKA, YOU WILL DIE FOR ALL THE HEARTACHE IN PAST RPCS

    FOR PETER

    FOR CHARLEMAGNE

    FOR HATSHEPSUT

AND FOR MANY, MANY, MANY OTHER LEADERS

Shaka's core is entirely destroyed, tyhe Zulu Lord flees to what appears to be safe cities. One within Kublai's cultural borders who will no open trade with us and the other on Willems hoem continent.

But he cannot flee and Sid is well prepared to eliminate this RPC menace once and for all.

Sid utilizes the power of Paratroopers to capture that "Hidden City"

Kublai scowls at us and make impotent threats, Sid tells him to go crying to his daddy Zara.

The former Dutch city required a slight redirection of the newly built armada to capture it.

Leaving Sid with an excellent launching pad against Willem!

Sid pauses, and starts realigning the army, for it is TIME

    The new Armada

Which is likely the bottleneck of Sid's plans right now.

    The old, reliable Armada

And the army stationed in Shaka's and Justinians old lands

    Waiting to slice and dice.

    A view of Sid's army

Well promoted and ready to deal death and destruction.

So the time has come friends, time to launch the last massive assault on the world. Kublai and Mehmed can be taken by land while Zara get's weakened. The new armada can easily take out Willem and likely Victoria/Lincoln/Ragnar/Brennus. The old Armada can take Wang out also, no sense leaving anyone out.

Come fellow Civfanatics, it is time to Party like it's 1999!

Mild reminder: the Turk has nukes , so don't send the armada in the first turn, but some token ships to absorb the nukes. Same applies to Zara, since he is teching future tech ...

The numbers in the Army breakdown, along with the comprehension of the size of that map, are about the most awesome screenshot i've seen of civ!

    Loving it.

How the heck do you manage attacks with a bunch of armies that big? Attack with the whole stack at once and let CIV figure it out? You sure can't select individual units like I'm used to in much, much, much smaller SoDs.

    @ICNP: for a non-Cha leader experience for level N (N>1) is (N-1)^2+1, so level 7 takes 37.

Let's see, so I was 4 in 99, so how would a 4 year old party?

On topic(?): Combat line, drill line? Which promotions did you use?

Stopstopp, as far as partying in 1999 at 4 years old I will ask my daughters as they both flank you in age!

Promotions have been essentially as follows

Modern armor: CR line, then combat I, pinch, combat+
Mechanical Infantry: Combat, PInch, COmbat +. A few intercept
    Mobile Sam: intercept, combat
Gunship: combat I, II, anti-armor, combat...
Mobile Artillery: CR, barrage? (whatever gives you extra collateral)
    Airforce: All combat
Naval: subs flanking II, combat. CArriers drill as I have drill III for free. All others combat, blitz, combat.

Killroyan has the Heroic epic and red cross thus I usually will get medic II before anything else for gunpowder/artillery. One of the few games where I have massively utulized the Red Cross.

That big armada stack has over 180 units in it . That's Shaka-esque...tell us, did any of your cities build something else than units for the last hundred years?
