Sex and the disabled

I find that rather hard to swallow.

EDIT: Rather inconvenient page break there.

I don't see why handicapped people should not be allowed to have sex with a prostitute, and given that it's probably the most realistic way for them to have sex, I say go for it.

I guess it then sucks to be a disabled GIRL.

Plenty of man whores out there...

This is obviously a sign of the Second Coming being close at hand. Modern society will grow ever more debauched.

I became Mormon before I knew about state-subsidized sex....

The Book of Mormon is tosh, this is the best statement ever made by a Mormon ever. :goodjob:

I think that most women who really wanted to could get sex. not all, of course.

Apropos of nothing, there was a Law and Order: Criminal Intent episode on some years ago, with a girl who had spinal bifuda (I think) and was in a wheelchair, and I spent the whole time being a little weirded out (but not too much) at how hot I thought she was.

Really? Plenty enough that a disabled girl should have no trouble finding one?

The article says about 20% of disabled women would consider using a... I think it the term it used was "professional sex worker" (which sounds splendid doesn't it?) while the male figure was given as about 60%... but if you look up escort you'll find some males...

I actually concur.

Thus sayeth Eran.

:goodjob:

Actually when I think about it... there was a Grey's Anatomy recently where there was a teenage girl with a spinal deformity and she made a great point about the surgery she was going to have... "Will that get me laid?!"

Am I the only one here who has seen Murderball? Those guys seemed to have no trouble getting laid.

Granted, they were all athletic badass types, most of whom were paralyzed in badass ways like bar fights and car accidents.

And anyone who endorses state-sponsored nookie should head down to the DMV and ask himself if he's tap that. Some things are better in theory.

Second Coming eh?

And it will grow ever more.

I think that clears up all of the double-entendres in those 2 sentences.

You get charged extra for the second coming though.

"Anna Bowden, of Eaves, a group that helps vulnerable women, including those who have been trafficked into prostitution, recognises that disabled people face 'a very difficult situation'.

'Obviously I don't think the answer is perpetuating a form of violence against women. We reject the view that men have a right to sex.'"

I object strongly to this view. The violence against women in prostitution comes from abusive practices - sexual slavery, abuse and rape by clients, and so on. It is not intrinsic to the trade; I had a wonderful relationship last year with a call girl. I didn't even know she was a prostitute until the second or third week - she's a psychologically strong woman, and she handled it just fine. Our eventual breakup, after 8 months, was due to the fact that I simply could not handle the risks that she went through on a daily basis as part of her job. She had a few scary experiences, but none of them actually resulted in anything harmful, and the rest of the time, it was great! She's putting herself through college on sex work.

So, basically, prostitution's not bad - the misperceptions, the abuses, the sex slavery is bad. Prostitution itself is not a negative thing.

I don't mind the gov't subsidising it the first time, I think it's a good idea. But after that they should have to pay for it themselves, like the rest of us.

erm, so broffles will have to have ramps now?

we could roll out on the puns here, but i deem most will be offencive and demeaning for disabled.. hence i'll go back to the thread..

is it really worth your first experience, or any experience being with a pros...

In an ideal world, no, but I think that ideal went out with the disabled guy's legs.
