Ike D. Isenhower sat on his commanding seat upon his jeep. He was a man on the rise in the military. He was Patton's counterpart. A man ready to fight for his nation and a man of the arts. He had forever felt a love for the military achievements. He had studdied much on the great war and many other before it.
A man forever interested in the italic wars especially that of Cumae and destruction of Carthage. He was a man of determination.
Ike sat talking to his servant who carried out all his errons.
"Do you know why we fight young man?"
"We fight for our country and for liberty."
"Yes, but do you know why?"
"I don't think I catch your point sir."
"Our founding fathers were not of just the north they were of the south as well. That is where our country was finally won. In the south. But they do not know what freedom is anymore. They have ignored the words of a man who was raised on there soil.
Our fathers, fought for freedom and a united america. One that was not divided, had one straight goal.
We thought we could live in harmony perhaps. But they are fools. This mad man who has taken power down there, he stands for nothing that we stand for. He is an enslaver of the black and a man of little hope. He is a man of no knowledge of freedom, and the people are blind to what is staring them right in the face.
A dictatorship doesn't work. We have seen it fail time and time again. I have heard people say democracy is the worst government, well its the only one thats worked thus far and I am here to defend.
There comes a time boy when you got to fight for what you believe. You can't just stnd there and let time pass you by, because before long you'll find your head in a noose and everything you once loved gone.
What they been doing down there is wrong, and I'll be damned if I am going to see it continue. Its the work of the common soldier my boy. There are those working in politics, men choosing the works of the world, but they are not the ones who win wars.
It is the work and endurance of the proud men. It is the work of the little man. Its that boy standing right there, and the man shooting down the old bastards right beside you.
They are the ones who change the world, it is the smallest of men who change the course of history. There always will come a time to fight, there will always be a call to answer.
I cannot make the decision of who I am or what time I live in. But I'll be one of them, making the world difference, I will be the one fighting a world war. I will be one of the proud grandpas looking at their grandkids and when they ask what did you during the war that tore the world, I can say, I was up there, fighting by my friends, blowing my steam, shooting down fascists, fighting for you.
We fight for freedom, this day, we make history this day."
"Any society that would give up a little liberty for a little security would deserve neither and lose both." Thomas Jefferson
