SheepNES: The Dragon is Awake: MAIN THREAD

OOC: I said that we agree to the division of the Tatar lands, leaving out the trade agreement, the alliance, and the exchange of the cities... oh well, confusion on our part it seems like.

To Poland-Lithuania

Russia does not seek to rule over the Ukraine. If the Grand Duke looks at the original agreement proposed by Russia, all of Ukraine is in fact given to Poland-Lithuania. The only lands we are concerned about are those of Russian settlements along the Dnieper river and around the Russian city of Tula.

We will refer you again to the map of the original Russian proposal. And if the Grand Duke believes that allowing the people who would rather move to the Lithuanian Ukraine would solve the issue, we would gladly do so. Our only goal is to free the Russians living in the area from foreign rule, Tatar or Lithuanian.

We aren't positive that all the territory you ask is Russian. We will hold a plebiscite there to see which parts are, and those areas can join Russia. Any Tatars in those areas will be allowed to move into Ukraine or Poland-Lithuania proper.

ooc: Vanguard, you are one of many people who simply forgot that as well as investing the 2IC to increase education or stabilty, you also forgot the 1IC to maintain it at current levels.

This however is insignificant to the fact that those nations who forgot to submit orders for the colonies. As there are colonies everywhere in the world I suggest you look at the stats..... The major ones missed out were the colonies situated in Europe...

The Colonies can invest upon themselves, am I right?

EDIT: Also, with China's numerous colonies, isn't it a bit of a hassle to send orders for each and every one? I'm just saying.

We're not sure of you are already aware of the European Colonies on the American continent, so now you are. We therefore encourage you to conquer as much land in eastward direction as you possibly can. We are not sure about the intentions of the Europeans but better be prepared!

Greetings, fellow Asian. We were wondering if you would consider working together to create a mutual trading pact that would be beneficial to both of our economies.

How fares your expansion, Buddhist. We congratulate you on your expansionism and hope to work together benevolently with you in the future. We also propose a mutual trade agreement.

We have always traded with your great empire, and we will continue to do so.

On the matter of conquering more land, we have already begun claming land east. However, progress has been slow due to our rather out dated weaponry. We ask the great Emperor to send us some of your guns, so that we may learn how to make and use them effectively. This will help us greatly in our conquests to the east and ensure we stand strong in case the europeans begin meddling in our affairs.

OOC: two things, do you need to send IC to check an tech that someone else started or can you start right away? (teching)?

About two-hundred years ago, a European merchant called Marco Polo set up trade route between the East and the West called the 'Silk Road'. It's long been abandoned since so this might be a good opportunity to open the route again. We therefore gladly sign a trade pact with you.

You show wisdom and reason in your words, Emperor Huayna Capac. Your motives and arguments sound sincere. We'll send gunpowder and military specialists over to Cuzco to learn you the basic principles of gunpowder.

OOC: ask Sheep if you have to do some additional research on this.

Although we're not entirely sure about this we give you the benefit of the doubt and offer Prince Iosef the opportunity to study at the University of Nanking. Send him to the port of Shanghai where he will be escorted by the Imperial Guard to Nanking.
We hope that this may increase our mutual understanding of our cultures.

OOC: lol, forgot about that.

Very well my brethren, we shall send merchants through to you, though I suppose the Mughals will have to agree first.

From his Brother in Law Emperor Tahmasp:

Would you consent to reopening your portion of the Silk Road? It would benefit all of our countries.

OOC: I'm allowed to call the Chinese brethren, right? Cause we're both Asian, and if you go far back enough...

That is perfectly acceptable

As long as the Silk Road is closed we suggest you to use the naval route. We hope to see your merchant ships in Shanghai soon.

Ok then. The plebiscite will be held soon. If the people are indeed Russian, and/or want to join Russia, they will be free to join.

OOC: Do you want to wait for a turn or do you want Sheep to just tell us which major cities are mostly Russian and which are not, and we can go from there?
