I sent 500k of simoleons (or are they called simdollars?) from two of my cities to my third city but it never arrived......

How can I play regional if it is so broken?

Possibly you have "simolean delivery trucks" bugged out, stuck at the mayor's house.

Well, I chose battlefield 3 as my free game, a lot more fun than simcity as it is now...

Yes, the trucks are ''mysteriously'' stuck at the Mayor's house.

I found out what the problem was (probably), If send cash to one of your neighbors there is this whole procedure you have to go through from an EA post on their forum:

When you send the money, stay in the gifting menu and go to Llama speed. After a short time you will see a small thumbnail image of the recieving towns profile picture, this is the money truck leaving the recieving city. Wait for it to enter your city and at this point if you want, you can slow down time and follow the truck through your streets to your city hall/mayors house it will then exit and go back to the recieving city by highway.

It is very important when sending money to yourself, to wait for this process to complete itself. You have to wait for the truck to come, take money and travel completely to the recieving town. You can watch it in real time in the gifting menu and once completed a banner will appear at the top of your screen stating the transaction has completed.

Now when you go to the town recieving the money, enter Llama speed and watch the road connecting your towns. After a breif period of time you will see the same thumbnail image come down the road and enter your town, once the truck gets to your town hall/mayors house etc you will recieve the balance.

And I thought sending money was simple, what was I thinking? Stupid!

Yup! Totally past the Beta phase of development for a multiplayer regional resource dependent game.

And I can only hope the paying customers are looking into their local laws about refunds - EA's EULA is entirely secondary to local consumer laws.

I've escalated a PayPal claim at this point and uninstalled Origin. Screw EA for life, yo.

They are banning Origin accounts if you get a refund. What a poor, poor business strategy this "company" is adopting.

No, they are banning accounts if you do a chargeback. Chargebacks are NOT refunds.

Sounds like a refund to me. Maybe a forceful refund since it goes through the bank.

Chargebacks cost the company you charged back money and a lot of people misuse them to get refunds when that isn't what they are for (mostly its for fraud).

Do you what tells me this? That after waiting ten years (not counting SC societies) people want a new Simcity really bad.

Call me crazy but I hope this title will be a big (commercial) success. Because when a title is commercial failure it can kill the franchise, regardless of the quality of the game. I remember Ubisoft came out with Beyond good & evil, loved that game. It sold terrible and were still waiting for a possible sequel. I hope this game sells well and EA continues the Simcity series.
