Single Player bugs and crashes v35 plus (SVN) - After the 18th of August 2014

I can't start the game it stops loading after some of some Python error messages.

I get an error with the Great People also see attached. I got another about not finding the background then I got the new display with just the bio text and then I got the old GP popup.

I hope nobody messed with the Great Person stuff in python, it HAS to remain exactly were its at or it will NOT work correctly, if so please put it back the way it was, thx.
 
I am running SVN updated earlier today. I added the extra civs pack (58 civs) to the game, and now when I run it, the user interface is invisible. I'm sure this has been addressed and I did some research but can't find the answer. Any help is appreciated.

I'm running Steams BTS on a Win8 64 PC with 12gb ram and a good graphics card.
 
I hope nobody messed with the Great Person stuff in python, it HAS to remain exactly were its at or it will NOT work correctly, if so please put it back the way it was, thx.

Sparth is currently replacing it. Currently we have both the old and the new.

It usually means there is something wrong in the python somewhere. Although I believe it is possible to turn off the UI with a key sequence using I - ctrl or alt can't remember which.
 
I am not having much problem continuing playing a game. I just ignore the art errors. However I will have a look at what he has done to see if I can fix it while he is not available.

edit I think I may have found it. It was not done as modular python. I can fix it.

Alright, this is becoming serious lol. Still having no user interface showing. It shows popups, but won't show the options screen, the city screen, the main in game interface, tooltips, minimap, or any advisor screens, etc.

I've deleted and reinstalled all of CivIV and C2C, restarted and turned off my computer... Twice. Still when I load up C2C, no matter what settings I use, there is no user interface showing. The first thing I tried obviously was the keyboard shortcuts (Alt-I and Ctrl-I) to no effect.

If I am trying to do a completely clean install, is there some file hidden somewhere in the registry or something that I need to find and kill? I have no idea at this point why the game is doing this... it's very frustrating.

Try update to revision 8151, seems it is the last stable one. Same here with the higher revisions. Then basically all you need is to delete C2C mod in BTS folder (I keep UserSettings folder only) and export your SVN folder there to recreate it again.

I could build Scotland Yard with Great Spy in the Ancient era even though it says it requires skyscrapers and city size 13 at least (mine is 5 :-).

Confirming this. I built scotland yard around 20000BC in my capitol a few games ago. Not that I was complaining...

I reverted to SVN version 8151 as recommended, all appears to be working correctly. Did get a few XML errors about slave related buildings, but I'm not too worried about it. Interface IS showing and that's what matters.

Modders active in the last day or two... somethings broken! (on my machine at least)
 
Scotland Yard is a unit built wonder and apparently tech prereqs don't apply to that. DH was in the process of doing something about that - he has a modmod in the modmod section to address the issue and was hoping for some testing on it.

So is the SVN current version working or not? I've got an update to add here...
 
Yes, sorry a bit of real life panic, but that is over. I have fixed one bug only to have an old existing one pop up so I have fixed that also. Three more turns and I get a GP to finish the test.

Great People built Wonders can only have a technology limit all others are ignored.

My mod mod introduces some other Great Spy buildings and changes Scotland Yard to a police not espionage building. Tech is then used to restrict its building time.
 
Guys art errors are easy to fix. Just wait until im back home from work and ill fix theml. As for python bugs ill test them and ill try to fix them. If not ill ask for help. Anyway this will be fixed ASAP.
