Polynesia is gone and I finished what we started long ago with Tibet. Good luck
========================
First thing I do is (successfully) plant an agent in Polynesia. They have 3 cities, and 12 riflemen, and 1 clipper. 4 rifles per city. Prepare to slog it out....
I don't make any other changes....
Man...I'm still impressed by looking at China's navy.....

Chinese building Emancipation Proc. in Nanjing. How nice of them.....
China did quite a lot to soften up Ua Pou in the OT...bombed it with all of their ships. I hope the damage stuck and wasn't healed by a barracks. China also attacked Haraiki with 3 cavs and redlined all three, killing none. Here we go.
Battle for Ua Pou: Art does 3hp damage to 5hp rifle. 6hp cav defeats 3hp rifle (takes 3 damage). 6hp cav dies to 3hp rifle (does 1 damage). 6hp cav dies to 3hp rifle. Grr, was hoping to save the cruisers for Haraiki, but I'm gonna use a few here to make sure. I have 3 cavs left and I think they have 2 rifles (3hp and 2hp). Cruiser kills Guild Hall. Cruiser kills harbor (exactly what I DIDN'T want). Cruiser fails. Back to cavs. 6hp Cav defeats 3hp rifle and becomes elite (takes 2 damage). 6hp cav defeats 2hp rifle (takes 2 damage). There's another rifle. Arg...6hp cav dies to redlined rifle. 6hp rifle kills 1hp rifle. We take city with our last unit and kill their clipper. We capture their Slave Trade.
Battle for Harahiki: Cruiser kills citizens. Cruiser knocks 2hp off 6hp rifle. Cruiser kills barracks. Cruiser kills University. Cruiser knocks 2 hp off 6hp rifle. 6hp cav does 3hp damage to 6hp rifle and dies. 6hp cav does 4hp damage to 5hp rifle and dies. Grrr...6hp Cav does 3hp damage to 5hp rifle and retreats. 6hp cav does 3 hp damage to 5hp rifle and dies. At least now we are beyond the fully healed troops. 6hp cav does 1hp damage to 4hp rifle and retreats. 6hp cav defeats 4 hp cav (the turn of the tide!). I slip in attacking with a Cav and send him on a wild goose chase around the city...wasting his turn. GRRR. 6hp cav redlines 3 hp rifle, but dies. Elite cav defeats 3hp rifle. I mop up with our rifles (losing 2 of them) and take the city on the last hp of our last rifle. That was damn close....too costly for my taste, but we took the city. We took Magellan's Voyage as well.
After those two fights...we have 9 cav on the island, but most of them are hurting bad, so we'll have to bombard Manihi while they heal.
BTW...my preference would have been to take Haraiki last because of the palace defense bonus. No matter, though. Poly is going down. Manihi is on tundra instead of hills like these last two. That will help.
1894: China wants to renew the ROP for Iron. I don't give ROP, but I give Iron for 1825gp. Ethiopians request audience, want MPP (and GPT from us!!!). No way. I renew Incan ROP with Elephants.

I rush everything on Siam island.

Our people add a small guest room to the palace.
WLTKs are ending everywhere. Folks are tired of this war.
I land all available forces outside Manihi. Right now they have 3 rifles, and one must have an offense flag because it is outside the city headed towards our city. It will fall next turn.
Bombing Manihi: Cruiser kills (1) 2 hp off 6hp rifle, (2) 2 hp off 5 hp rifle, (3) GARRISON, (4) failed, (5) 2hp off 4hp rifle, (6) guild, (7) failed, (8) harbor, (9) citizens.
I move lux slider up 10% to help with WW. I'll be glad to get out of this war next turn.

We get most of our WLTK days back.
Bombing Manihi: Cruiser kills (1) citizens, (2) 1hp off 6hp rifle, (3) library, (4) port, (5) fail, (6) 2hp off 5hp rifle, (7) monument, (8) citizens, (9) 2hp off 5hp rifle. Artillery kills: (1) 2hp off 3hp rifle, (2) failed, (3) citizens, (4) failed.
Attacking Manihi: (1) 8hp Elite cav LOSES to 3 hp rifle. grrrr. (2) 6hp Elite cav beats 3hp rifle...no leader (no more elites). (3) Vet cav beats 1 hp rifle. Takes city. Polynesians have been destroyed.
Adjust slider for flight and bring lux back down 10%. Rush everything on Siam island and everything on Polynesian island except the city I just took. Change Wheat Thins from Bazaar to Basilica and rush (to get WLTKD).
I upgrade 2 clippers (we really do have more than we need) to transports for boating around workers.
1900: We lose our supply of silks, coffee. I add gems and tobacco to it and Mao agrees. We really are probably giving him too much...but it will be great when we go to war with him....he'll lose 6 luxuries!!!
Flight discovered. Unionization is next in 3 turns. Our Colossus, captured 2 turns ago, is no obsolete.

I delcare war on Tibet. I unload 3 cavs and 1 rifle outside each of the two cities. I'm not going to bombard since their units are so weak. I'd rather keep the city improvements.
