From: Kingdom of France
To: All Concerned Parties
CC: Denmark, Austria
Her Supreme Majesty's government is proud to announce, in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen-Hundred and Fifty, the formation of the following compact to be known as the Lubeck Agreement. The Kingdom of France, the Kingdom of Denmark-Norway and the Austro-Hungarian Empire agree to be bound by its precepts and tenets, which will form the basis for a new relationship between those three nations and their agenda for peace and prosperity in Europe. Its terms are as follows...
1. The Kingdom of France, the Kingdom of Denmark-Norway, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire recognize that their interests on the European continent, in maintaining God's Divine Order and protecting the rights of nations and their peoples, are aligned. They agree that in order to protect those interests they must cooperate in the European sphere, and sign this agreement in the spirit of that cooperation, to form a new beginning of friendship and good will between their peoples.
2. The Kingdom of France, the Kingdom of Denmark-Norway, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, recognizing that this treaty forms the basis for a relationship of friendship and cooperation between their states, agree to consult each other on matters of continental import in order to protect God's Divine Order and the European consensus. They agree that their primary concern is the protection of the European peace and the prosperity it brings all nations from destabilizing states interested in destroying the balance of power.
3. The Kingdom of France, the Kingdom of Denmark-Norway, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire agree that this treaty -- the Lubeck Agreement -- empowers all three states to intervene on each others' behalf in defense of the European balance of power. All three states agree that the treaty in no way obligates such a response should it be deemed unnecessary.
4. The Kingdom of France, the Kingdom of Denmark-Norway, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire agree to cooperate amongst each other and coordinate their efforts however necessary to abide by this treaty and to protect the European peace.
Signed, Her Supreme Majesty Queen Anne of the French, Lioness of France and Defender of Her Empire
Signed, His Excellency Ferdinand Leclercq, First Minister of the National Parliament
