Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

I can't imagine why anyone would unless they simply don't have a PC good enough to run it. Mods mean Bethesda games are ALWAYS better on PC.

This, mostly. I really like the ease and casuality of use that an xbox brings too, in spite of the lack of mods &c.

Just force of habit, really.

All my controllers are second nature to me, but so's my keyboard. I really don't see the big deal. More buttons is a good thing.

I guess some people are afraid their PC can't handle it.

But I have a really low-end PC, and I put a low-end GPU (cheap one too) to replace the integrated GPU (the integrated GPU which was bad enough it ran Oblivion on 25 fps at lowest settings), and Skryim looks decent on mostly medium settings with a crapton of mods.

So even a low-end PC can handle it if you do a bit of work on it. Although I guess some of the more elitist gamers might scoff at my low-end PC for not having pretty pixels.

Get HiAlgoBooster its increased my speed a lot, especially if you don't care about pixels.

If an RPG looks at least as good as Morrowind, it does not deserve to be scoffed at.

I say its better to wait until you upgrade your PC than rush in and play a game like Skyrim on the console. By that point not only will you have a PC capable of running it at high settings with mods, but the mods will be much more advanced and (hopefully) less buggier (also hopefully in or near their final versions so you aren't always updating them). I couldn't imagine playing Skyrim without mods for very long, hell even with mods I don't even feel like making a second character :/

Hah opposite problem. I never finish the game because I install all these cool mods which either bug the game out or make me want to change my character.

I have both of those problems! I have never yet defeated Dagoth Ur on the PC, because I spent years trying out mods and playing oodles upon oodles of different characters, yet my collected characters for the Xbox editions of Oblivion and Skyrim number just three.

I think I only have a handful of Skyrim characters. Though the only mods I've installed are the ones that add in lore friendly weapons and armor.

Yeah I hear you maniacal. I can usually only get as far as completing maybe 2 factions in Skyrim before I get bored and move on to a different game, even with mods. When I go back to Morrowind though I can get sucked in for months.

It isn't Skyrim if you haven't installed at least 100 mods.

I play Skyrim for 1-4 weeks them move to a different game, though I do this with every game I own. Eventually I get back to Skyrim. I don't go back to most games once my attention span's through with them.

I think i played dishonored till poisoning the High Inquisitor and got bored and have never been back. But Civ 4 and Skyrim I always return.

No spoilers in threads not about the game until it's been out for half a year. Shame on you. Shame, I say! SHAME!

:)

I'm glad I made a relatively small investment and still can play all these great games. Screw 1000000 fps, I played Oblivion at 20-25 fps and I loved it.

Chill its like the first mission you get after the prison escape and meeting the rebels at the bar. :p

I DID NOT KNOW THIS.

Hopefully I'll get Dishonored during the sale.

??? I get more than that with Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul on my almost 4 year old MacBook in OS X...

I dunno how bad my PC is, but all I know is that the integrated GPU is dated. Maybe your integrated GPU is somehow better than mine?

My Skyrim looks so good on my XBox.

Does a computer reduce the loading time? Because the loading time on my XBox is liable to drive me insane.
