I have decided to officialy lay claim on Brazil.

I claimed the OE...

Unless I am not eligible? I am rather new, so I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't let me have it.

I'm entirely flexible: I'm willing to be fitted into Greece or any European great power where it's convenient to have me, just as long as it isn't France (because I'm practically doing that in EQ's NES).

My claims are, in order of priority, Germany, Japan, USA.

For some odd reason I feel like playing Republic of Aleyska. Maybe because I find the idea of Alaska being its own country hilarious.

Sorry christos, I am brazil.

Quebec and the USA had an alliance of convenience if I recall. Are the Ottomans considered a major power? Sorry, only skimmed the thread.

France isn't fascist. Not yet, at least.

France was more or less betrayed by Great Britain in the Great War, when it prematurely signed a peace with the Quadruple Alliance. France lost a bulk of it's colonial lands, as you can see on the map. Napoleon IV is trying to regain the confidence of the French people with him, through any means possible. A socialistic Prime Minister Louis Stele was just elected in the French Parliament, and him and Napoleon are collaborating on ways to lead France to continued glory, especially in conjunction with the Spanish government. No nations in this NES are 'fascist' yet, as the war has just ended about 4-5 years ago, the transition could still happen, or is happening. Of course, it's entirely preventable, and entirely up to player action.

The Republic of Aleyska has a small population, but is growing, as many Russian Monarchists are finding their way back to the old colony. It's a Republic out of convenience, though if the right noble was found, I'm sure they'd be happy to revert to a Constitutional Monarchy, and allow some semblance of the Romanov dynasty to live on. With the Russian Civil War all but over, I imagine the population to grow a little more. Ivan Streckli, the temporary President has continued to lobby for the United States to relinquish the claim they have on Southern Alaska, over half of the Russian-Alaskan populace, and the classic capitol Sitka.

The Ottoman Empire can still be considered a Great Power, it certainly is the strongest nation in the Middle East as of 1922. But the Ottoman government remains the archaic institution it has been for quite sometime, and is in drastic need of some reforms. It also has a major issue with it's ethnic minorities, similar to Austria. The only difference is, none are in armed rebellion- yet. The growing strength of both Arabia and Persia threaten it's borders, and it's internal issues will make it difficult to maintain the current strength it has now. That's not say it can't be done.

Indochina was made independent by the Japanese, though is essentially a dominion.

@Erez: The starting year is 1922.

@Arrow Gamer: Dreadnought was the previous player of the Ottoman Empire, so he has first dibs. Though, if he doesn't come back, I don't see why you can't try it out. It won't be easy

Socialist ruler? So there is a chance for a communistic France?

Doesn't France have a President, not a prime minister?

That's pretty much how I was going to approach Aleyska anyways, so yay I guess.

I lay claim to Greece.
