Snakes & Foxes 3: The ****oo's Nest (Game Thread)

The deciples, Team 3 and THE MIGHTY MANLY MOTLEY MATEYS haven't gotten anyone voted in from the marks. The odds of hitting a mark there at random is greater than the other teams. As such I'll vote for the Eidolon vs the Dragonslayer.

You really need a lesson in statistics if you want that to pass, Archmage. Choosing at random from a team with 5 survivors would probably mean a 1 in 5 chance of scoring a mark, whereas choosing at random from a team with 4 survivors would mean a 1 in 4 chance. They didn't really teach you math in Magic School, did they?

Prior! Perhaps you'd like to join the Archmage in the battlefield? We'll see who wins, mogic or god

So CCRunner, you're saying you want me dead? Let's put you (the Raider) against the Assassin.
No good sir, quite the opposite. I want the druid dead. You see, despite having double the score of all of us, our good druid wasn't chosen. Why would the mark leave such a person who is obviously ahead of them in score alive.... unless he isn't ahead of them? What if he IS them? You see, I suspect the druid of being of the mark. And being an engineer, you know how to cut trees down don't you? It's only natural that you be axe that removes the blight of the mark don't you think?

PS: Niklas, you updated the gold but not the scores.

Ah, that makes sense. I'd rather not get in the fight though, so I change my vote to Druid vs. Assassin.

Hmmm how does the Druid vs. the Shaman? We can see how the savagery of the wild fare against the calm. This sounds like it would be a great battle!

Its time for the Ranger to take the arena again. The Runekeeper should fight him, Kilmorph be damned.

"Then the heaven and the earth, and
all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the
spoilers shall come unto her from the north,
saith the LORD."
- Jeremiah 51:48

A slave of the Ritual, a repetition to carry in the soul for all time. He understands dedication, and due to this I trust his judgment. Partially.

The LORD has ordained it so, I should listen to the Ritualman and vote for the Druid to face the Runekeeper.

The LORD also has inquired as to my sudden gambling habit but has hinted that I might be satisfied by placing 80 gold on the Harlequin.

My current count of the votes in case anyone is interested. In order of being selected

Edit: Updated as far as post #310 (By KingMorgan)
Druid: 8
Knight 5
Assassin 5

Illusionist 3
Mercenary: 2
Brujah 3
Lich 3
Ghost
Ritualist
Firebow
Frostspeaker 2
Engineer
Marksman
Prior 2
Ranger 2
Runekeeper 2
Satyr
Eiodolin
Dragon Slayer
Archmage
Shaman
Sculptor
Courtesan

Yeah, it probably has a mistake or two on it but it's decent enough or should be

((OOC: Thanks CCRunner!))

After looking at the current votes it seems mine have had litte to no impact. Well while I agree the Druid should fight, I believe that the Knight does not deserve to see battle yet. However, I wish to see the Assassin do battle! He must be good to live this long in his profession and I wanna see him in action! :D

The Minotaur had enjoyed his fight with the Centaur, even if it did last longer than he had expected. A true battle spirit!

The ones lacking battle spirit were clearly the Sculptor and Courtesan. One may wondered why they were in this tournament, probably they battled with tricks and deception. Something the Minotaur had no love for.

Edit:OOC: Also I seem to be missing my 50 'morning' gold, was it just the first morning or hasn't been added yet?

You theory is good, but needs work.

I am no mark, anyone with half a brain would have figured that out by now without any help. No, either the Raider is a mark or jealous he is not top of the leaderboard. Be wary raider, you'll be at the top of the hitlist if you remove the person above you.
Using your logic, then, when that happens your either a Mark or under the control of the Mark. Which is it?

I have no problem fighting either way i'll be winner after the fight.

Knight V Assassin

The Druid being a man of the odds would advise the fellow contestants not to be put off by comments of the Aberbusier - pierce that team with an arrow of truth and you'd have a 2:3 of hitting a Mark.
Would the Druid lie about the odds - i think not ;)

And what pray tell, have you done to make everyone save me it seems so sure of your innocence? Oh yeah, they aren't sure since they're all voting against you.

And I'd remind you that I was not the first to accuse you of being mark. No, that honor lies with Diamondeye . And if suspecting you makes me guilty, well then it seems we have nearly ten members of the mark on our hands

Sheep, Mr Raider - sheepole. Following the easy path as laid down by the Court Jester. A path you have done nothing to head off. A path the Jester started before any mention of possible mark-ness.

We could have made a good team Raider, had you not turned to the darkside.

You don't know the POWER of the dark side /darthvadervoice

First vote against you said:
He thinks this is your doing, Druid. You 'marked' the Harlequin, didn't you?"
The Harlequin looked at the other members of The Pack. "Even if he dies, the Harlequin has helped you pinpoint a mark, he has. Send the druid to the arena. And pick someone he can't cope with. Someone like the Berserker, perhaps."
Aren't quotes great?

*Insert any old text from any old person*

I can do quotes too RaiderMark, doesn't mean they are true or accurate

*Insert anything to throw people off the scent*

I'm well proud of the above, it proves your the Mark - not Me

If you look up the above on Google it's defined as

"A device used by CCrunner (A Mark) to move attention away from himself (A Mark) onto an Innocent (The Druid)" - We all know Google never lies

But in All Seriousness I am an Innocent, if you were not a Mark then you'd want to work with me to discover the other Marks, but your not.

{ OOC: Oops, sorry. I blame LightFang for leaving me with half the battle writeup, it's totally his fault. Yeah.

I forgot to add the 50 gold for everyone, so rejoice, y'all now have 50 gold more. }

Who says there are 1 mark per team? Or do you have information i do not? Since i was chosen by the marks to fight the odds of me being a mark would be rather low now wouldn't it?

Perfect double bluff IMO. :mischief:

Yes and no. Send one of there own into the fight before they had any real chance of scanning for Weaknesses etc would be quite a risky move. But from tonite onwards nobody should be really excempt just because he was send into battle.

For tonite I like The Assasin to go against the Knight.

Well, we seem to have a little tiff between the Druid and Raider. How about letting them fight it out?

"If the Harlequin may interrupt the Druid for a brief moment before the Druid drowns in his ego, here is the story as the Harlequin sees it:

Harlequin spots that Druid is on top of list, and votes for Druid.
Druid takes notice of this and replies that now, Harlequin is 'marked' for battle.
Harlequin is sent into the arena by the marks.

Even more interesting is the fact that Druid has made quite a lot of money, and some of them on the fights picked by marks. Obviously he'd only do this if he had reasonable odds of winning. Almost as if he had... Picked out the fighters, one would think.

Is the Harlequin allowed to bring his lyre once we are dragged into isolation? It makes waiting easier... And since betting on oneself is forbidden, the Harlequin will not bet this round. No point, really. Teehee."
