Some guy celebrates a victory over creationists

Science is THE idolatry of nowadays. What is happening in our days, was predicted 250 years ago, some century before Darwin.
**********
After you READ the article - pay attention that it was said WAY BEFORE science was made into a modern IDOL.
You still think, Baal is more worthwhile than G-d?
Sure you do - we can see it from your upcoming answers.
Well...
"To err is human."

Not really.
I'm just voicing my (free speech allowed) opinion on what I think "science" is.
Or rather, what PEOPLE consider it to be.
Science HAS truths - but it's NOT a "final truth" itself.
Sure you'll disagree.
So, I say that I don't wanna start ARGUING about it - just voiced my opinion for you to (again) HEAR it.
You can freely ignore it, like you (those of you who do - not personal) typically do.
But maybe (MAYBE..... yeah, riiight) you'll think deeper into it.
Though I doubt it.
Sorry for trying to help you.
(Insert the horse adage here.)

Yes, but even in this forum we try to keep on topic or suffer the wrath of M-d.

ICBM
I wouldn't say I'm off topic.
I'm quite on the topic of science vs religion.
As this thread also is.

And WHY I'm "on topic":
You were discussing "one-sided" opinions in the context of "science is the only truth".
Thus my reference to it being the "Baal" (aka replacement for G-d) of nowadays.
The rest is just an expansion of this thought.

Moderator Action: No, it wasn't on topic.

Err, no. Read the OP (again?), and what Ziggy said.

So should schools teach creationism or not? I don't think a school that teaches science and excludes non-science in the teaching of scientific topics is that bad. Keeping religion in religious class seems like a sensible policy.

We're not descended from monkeys, but apes.

Yeah, seems that way to me as well. I'm glad we have reached creamy consensiness in this thread since there don't seem to be any objections.

useless
Yeah - a big change, of cooooourse.
You can go down to bacteria - no difference.

Repeating - provide me how you can have both evolution AND G-d's Laws that are ABSOLUTE.

Ziggy
FOR THE Nth TIME!!!
Bible clearly says - SIX DAYS (which results in "G-d rested on the SEVENTH - and so should WE").
Science clearly says - BILLIONS of YEARS.
HOW can you make it NOT contradict each other???

I CHALLENGE everyone to provide me with a "system" where we're evolved monkeys AND G-d created us and gave us His Laws.
So???

Where does evolution say God didn't give us his laws? I don't think my biology classes told me of the non-existence of God. The Catholic Church doesn't seem to think that's a problem either.

Yeah - a big change, of cooooourse.

Actually, it is. It shows whether you actually do care to learn about the details of evolutionary theory and aren't just stereotyping them. Which is a pretty good indicator of whether you'll ignore the arguments.

Some Christians interpret Genesis metaphorically. Who are you to say that they are wrong?
