Speculation: New patch and/or DLC on the 21st of november

When testing mods, I use IGE. Seems like it would be harder to reload an entire map. Again, all my opinion.

Doesn't that option seem kind of... cheap?
I'd rather play a tough game on a crappy map than re-roll to one that made me overpowered...
All IMO, of course.

I don't mind a tough game (I usually play for a Cultural victory), but my playing time comes at the expense of other things. So if Random presents me with a civ whose strength is maritime and the map hands me a landlocked start then you better believe that I'm going to reroll.

Nobody wants to England in the middle of Kansas, and nobody wants to be Genghis Khan or Alexander on an island with no city states. I re-roll in those situations anyway, it's just less convenient to have to restart my game every time,

whats wrong with Kansas?

Isabella to a lesser extent. But landlocked England and Polynesia are worthless.

Yeah, Isabella can use a strong production (which landlocked starts usually are better at) , a strong science flow, and a few resources to get out some Tercios and Conquistadors to conquer up to the coast.

Snarzberry posted a good strategy for Songhai/Mongolia, but it can also be applied (not as easily) to any civs with Knight replacements, such as Spain. Tercios are great as well.

England and Polynesia are pretty useless on land though. They have a very strong coast start bias though, so that is unlikely to happen.

Anyway, if anything is coming out at the date mentioned in the OP, we should hear of it this week.

Oh, DLL will almost certainly be included (as I've said from the start). However, its also almost certainly not the only change.

Ok I'm super very happy about the thing that they are working on a new big patch! :D

And as I look at this message from Greg:

"There most definitely will be more updates for Civilization V. The team is hard at work on our next big patch. Unfortunately, I don’t have any details about that patch for you right now, but if you keep following our Twitter or checking our forums, you’ll find out as soon as we have something to say J

As for an expansion or more DLC, we haven’t announced anything at this time!

What does the bolded text mean? Does it sound promising to you?
Is it more like "No such plans are made"
or more like "Of course there's gonna be an expansion, but we give no details just yet"

in regards with Atlantis, there's one problem, we've got an obvious capital, but what about other cities? And any ideas for a UU or UB and what about a leader?

If it is ever added, it'll be a city state, probably cultural or maritime.

So when we are talking about atlantis, we have to rember that the leaders of this civ where allways brother twins( but the first born was the really king). So the first king was named Atlas, and atlantis was named like this person also the atlantic where the continet was destroyed in one night and one day.
Maybe the UB could be canalsystem, or my favorite the great forge ( like the legend).
And of course atlantis got other cities exept the capital (look at göbekli Tepe or Osirion). Also in Timaios and Kritias ( platos story about atlantis), is still place to create a UU (There are so many war stories).
BTW i dont think atlantis is a myth, remember troya until schliemann discover it.

I interpret it as, regardless of whether or not we have plans, if I say something, I'll get in trouble. He's answering questions of other people asking if there are plans. His answer is essentially a more elaborate "No Comment."

the best solution it is mix of 2UpT and OneLooseAllDie rule. I solve stack def. problem.

So a modification of Civ2's combat rules? I would like that with one slight change as well. Either make it so the weaker of the two units defends or that there is a massive combat penalty for stacked units. That way stacking is purely for moving units, not for a combat advantage.
