i would like to join but have two potential problems:

    1) not a lot of spare time to play

    2) my english is bad sometimes

if those are fine with you, i'll play

    thanks

oh btw, i'm currently trying to beat monarch, never played an sg before

that's fine, that's the advantage of concurrent SGs -- you don't NEED everyone to play. I'll add you to the roster.

Now then, do we switch in to teams now or wait for more people to join?

Two teams of two works. What happens when, though, if we get one more, and only one more?

with five, every two rounds, one player will play on both teams. The order would go like this:

    123, 451, 234, 512, 345, 123...

Or, we could pick the repeating player randomly, and make the teams random each pair of rounds.

    Roster Reminder:
    1. Splime
    2. Pholkhero
    3. Rex Tyranus
    4. Autocon
    5.
    6.

Once we get the save, we'll start with pholkhero and me. Then it would be Rex and Autocon. The only problem is, with less people playing at once, we make the game a bit more linear. I don't think 4 at once is too many, however, with five players, we can start teams of three.

I'll post the save tonight before I play....

I wouldn't mind keeping it as all players play at once w/just the 4 of us...you're right that just two would make it linear...PLUS, since autocon doesn't have a lot of time, if he had to skip a set, it wouldn't be that big of a deal...

OK, so everyone will be playing. While just my opinion, fishing might be the best way to go technlogy wise -- unless we pop mysticism. Also, here's my suggested time schedule:

48 hours from save posting -- Playing time. Spoilers will be highly recommended during these 48 hours, but you can always save posting for...

24 hours after the spoiler zone -- "Grace Period" -- If you've had no time to play in the previous 48 hours, you can still play during this time. However, you MUST get the game played and write-up posted by the end of this time. Otherwise, your turnset is void.

If everyone finished in the 48 hour time period, we can scratch the Grace Period, but it's always there.

Agreed. No teams is better with four players.

We need more recruits. 3 and 3 would be really fun.

What timezone are you in pholk? I've been excited about this for too long. I need to play it. Argh!

AHHHH!! don't infect me with your thinking...now i'm officially biased...d'oh!!

Good idea w/the grace period...though, are you going to be the TimeKeeper (TM) and let us know when we need to have everything in by?? and, we should all post when we're ready to go so, if poss., we won't ahve to wait the entire 3 days all the time...

also, if you KNOW you are not going to make it in time, pls let us know and then we won't need to wait for you, and I'll do the same if i need to skip a set...

It's a good idea to discuss strategy before and after though, so we can learn before we set up for the next go.

I guess I'll be time keeper. We need someone to do it, so I might as well take it.

Wheel means immediate war chariots... IF and ONLY IF we find horses soon enough. This will probably make horseback riding a technology to avoid until we need knights.

Edit: War Chariots are 5 strength and immune to first strike -- just one strength weaker than horse archers. Immune to first strike is also a horse archer ability. Difference is cheap production costs and a better retreat chance, meaning if we make up for strength with numbers, we have a strong military.

Animal husbandry reveals horses, which means that AH + one cow might be better than fishing + two clams.

Whole things a gamble, but not a big one. If we pop horses, it pays off. If we don't, we still have cows.

Either way, if the goody hut pops a tech, we might have a whole new outlook.

Is "new random seed" checked by any chance? I'd be curious if we all get the same result from the goody hut. Anyone know that answer already?

Pholk, you're posting the save as soon as you get home, right? No stop to take a leak, feed the dog, kill the significant other. I want the save.

rofl. If pholk normally has random seed on,then he might have it on now. Since it wasn't one of the necessary requirements, I don't know.
