Sri Lanka: A Tamil OCC in RFC DoC

I'm having technical difficulties at the moment. I can't access any of my screenshots before a certain number, and that is a completely different game. Is there any way to access the old photos, or have they been permanently deleted?

If you named your screenshots, they should still be there. OTOH, if you let the game use default names and then saved screenshots from a later game with the same game name, they got overwritten.

After Action Report.

Gah, crap. That means I will have to replay everything after this update. On top of that, DoC isn't working, so I might have to put this on temporary hold until I can fix DoC.

Never mind, got the pictures to work.

Chapter 9: Angles and Trajectory

Hello! Time for another update!

We meet out new "buddies", the Mughals. We also hear about Persia's respawn as Iran.
civ4screenshot0102f.jpg

We have built some bombards! These will be very useful against the Portuguese.
civ4screenshot0103.jpg

civ4screenshot0107v.jpg

We get another Great Scientist, Brahmagupta. I don't remember what I did with him, but it looks like here that (stupidly enough) I bulbed education. Getting a University IS pretty important for science, though.
civ4screenshot0105.jpg

We meet a few more European civs.
civ4screenshot0106.jpg

civ4screenshot0108.jpg

civ4screenshot0109h.jpg

We do some tech trading with the Mughals.
civ4screenshot0110.jpg

Well, that's all for today! Until tomorrow!

Chapter 10: A Renaissance with a Catch

Update time! This one will be extra long!

At the moment, the empire of Anuradhapura is flourishing. Explorers have just met Yaroslav of Russia.
civ4screenshot0111.jpg

Also, the Tamil navy is beating back the barbarian pirates. Take that, barbies!
civ4screenshot0113.jpg

At the same time, some production vacancies have enabled some espionage operations, under the guise of a merchant Dharani.
civ4screenshot0112v.jpg

A sudden wave of learning and knowledge has swept Anuradhapura and ushered in a new Renaissance. This knowledge has given them the knowledge on how to sail the deep oceans (a mysterious force prevented that from being possible earlier).
civ4screenshot0114.jpg

civ4screenshot0115.jpg

Amidst all of this learning and discovery, foreign leaders continue to be a pain in the butt.
civ4screenshot0117h.jpg

Below are a few pictures of the empire. Also, China has declared independence.
civ4screenshot0116u.jpg

civ4screenshot0118e.jpg

We accomplish some tech trades with Russia and the newly resurrected China.
civ4screenshot0120.jpg

civ4screenshot0122k.jpg

This is more of a comedic screenshot, but LOOK AT TEH CELTIC ARMY OF DOOM!!!!
civ4screenshot0121.jpg

I'm going to leave all of you with a cliffhanger. What will happen next?
civ4screenshot0123y.jpg

Dun, dun, daaaa...

Those European powers are catching up to your score and fast...

Out of curiosity, what would happen if you said yes?

Dun, dun, daaaa...

Those European powers are catching up to your score and fast...

Yeah, it's sorta inevitable. There are only three things that you can really do to slow down the Euros/speed you up. They are to build a crapton of privateers (you'll see whether I did that in a few updates), micromanage and maximize your espionage and build a lot of spies (which I did not do out of derpiness), and get the Internet. This game is not exactly a successful example of this, but it does set me up for my sequel...

Anyway, on to the update!

Chapter 11: I PWN THE PORTUGUESE "CONQUERORS"

So we left off here, and I'm pretty sure you can guess what my answer was.
civ4screenshot0123y.jpg

It was yes, obviously.

Just kidding. OF COURSE I SAID NO, YOU MORONS THAT BELIEVED ME! This caused Joao to declare war on me. However, as you will soon see, I had a litte "surprise" in store for him and his "army".
heia.jpg

On a brief side note, we meet Willem van Oranje of the Netherlands.
d514.jpg

We first send our bombards (with Barrage I and II) to soften up Joao's "stack of doom".
cpma.jpg

Then, we send the rest of our units in to play!

There, all finished! It's as if it never happened! Thanks for the free EXP, Joao!

Sorry if the update was slow. Expect one (or two) tomorrow!குட்பை! (Goodbye!)

:goodjob:
Joao - -> :cry:
You - -> :ar15: :run: <- - Portuguese soldiers

Chapter 12: Militant Sickness

Time for another update!

Our units get some EXP from whooping the "conquerors". A Privateer also starts to become a pain in the butt.
2pc3.jpg

We make a small tech trade with Wang Kon, and make a relatively fair trade with the Mughals (the AI's definition of fair, not mine).

gd0t.jpg

Plague spreads to Anuradhapura. That kinda sucks.
6pa5.jpg

We send our Dharani to spread the plague explore peacefully while it happens have the plague. What a coinkydink!
twih.jpg

Heh, heh, heh. First of many to come!
6uw.jpg

Our Privateers sink EVERY sinkable passing ship. Even Galleys must be sunk!

Even other Privateers must be sunk!
wexb.jpg

Amidst all of these pirates, a Great Artist, an author by trade, Valmiki, is born. He writes an amazing novel about a pirate's voyages called ஒரு பைரேட் தான் பயணங்கள். He makes enough money off of royalties to buy immortality. We're going to ignore the fact that neither are possible unless you write a billion sequels to one really good book, and that only makes the first possible.
gqfj.jpg

A coup of militant Buddhists overthrow the government. Strangely enough, they support and increase the number of pirates being commissioned, explaining that they [the pirates] are best at spreading the faith overseas.
6xrd.jpg

Well, that's all for this update! அடுத்த முறை வரை! (Until next time!)
