Meh, you're just used to das setting iron deadlines. Many other moderators are more forgiving, as they aren't popular enough to risk people quitting because they get angry for 'missing the deadline' and having their nation devastated.

Domestic Events:
The Olmecs begin to give themselves great airs believing they’re superior to everyone else outside of their nation. The Mod is very displeased with them.
The Oran Triad, an alliance between the Umayyad Cordoba, Sarisca and Algeria has been formed bringing fear to much of their neighbors. Mainly Carthage and Sienna feel threatened. This new found friendship and cooperation if continued could enrichen Algeria and Cordoba to Sarisca’s level…
Alas, King Bocchus of the Algerians fell ill resulting in his failure to issue proper commands. However, his military commanders showing the dreaded disease initiative did expand. (+1 military leadership)
Carthage and Sienna both have begun great military buildups to counter the “Triad Threat” Of course, this does little to alay the concerns of Napolia and Sicily…
The King of Epir decides to rename Epir, to Apollonia to honor the God Apollo. Many people have applauded his wise decision however it doesn’t seem to do much good really… (Spotlight)
Athens decides to build a series of fortifications on their border with Sparta as well as doubling her army drawing increasing concern from Sparta. That was the last straw (Spotlight)
Minoa receives the navy of Bithynia seeking refuge from the Hittites. (+12 ship)

Massive armies are raised in Mesopotamia lowering the general level of training as well as reducing the people’s hopes for a peaceful future. (-1 confidence, army training for Mespotamia nations)
The Egyptians sit quietly with nothing out of the ordinary appearing to most observers. However there are rumors of large rebellions occurring in the interior.
King Kalaka of Mohenjo-Daro also falls ill to a terrible sickness which strikes rulers. Many many Shamans and the finest witch-doctors in India cannot cure this disease. An animal colored black and white is suspected.
Shang gets richer, and richer every passing day. So rich that Kaifeng became a trade center and a citizen invented blue pottery. To add to that, Shang signed an alliance with Yue a fact that many people find discouraging. Why sign an alliance with barbarians? And alas, King Wu also falls ill leaving no apparent successor.. The Olmecs are smart chaps, despite their arrogant airs. They ally with several Zapotec Tribes offering to destroy their enemies which they did. Afterwards, the allied Zapotec Tribes merely joined the Olmecs in a mixture of respect/fear/love at their actions.

The New Hittite Empire invades Bithynia with a massive army. Said army engaged the Bithynian Army with their hoplites head on. Or so they assumed. Using skilled tactics and surrounding the Bithynian Army with infantry from all sides and reducing the soldiers to confusion. The Bithynian Army was destroyed. None would return. As you see, King Mursulis IV was expansionists and a Hittite Nationalists of some sorts. He desired to do nothing more but rebuild the Empire. Bithynia itself soon surrendered to tolerable terms and Mursulis cast his gaze upon elsewhere.

King Wu is on his deathbed! Or so Shang believed. The two other contenders of the throne, generals from the northwest and east come to the capitol to fight for their right to succeed to the Throne to the dying King Wu. They both after meeting with King Wu are under the impression that the opposite will become the Next King and to prevent that both men mobilize their forces to strike at each other. King Wu then dies with no successor while the two contenders face off in the Battle of Jinan. And as the two armies are thoroughly beaten and exhausted "King Wu" reborn from the dead arrives at the head of his army and attacks both armies killing both “contenders.” The Throne is firmly in the hands of Wu.

Qin believing that a Civil War was beginning in Shang strikes at Wei destroying the country in a matter of weeks. The King of Wei was impaled along with his family outside the Palace Walls. King Zheng is not a man people want to cross…

Spotlight:
Greece was a powder keg. Note the “was.” Athen’s growing power was a threat to all of her neighbors and in the last war only a combined effort by Epir and Sparta was able to put her in her place. Not this time, or that was what Pericles swore. Athens had found an ally, finally, that would break her enemies. Their plan was ambitious but ultimately flawed. Granted, it could have worked if the Macedonians weren’t primitive barbarians, but they were.
Before Apollonia or Athens could make a move however, Macedonia attacked first completely unaware of the dangers that loomed over her nation but out of sheer desire for land with her entire army against Epir taking advantage of the fact that Epir was still preparing and marshalling her army for her own attack. The Macedonian way of fighting, swarming around an enemy in all directions in the still dense forests of Epir won them victory and they took the northern city and threatened Epir itself! Then came the news of the Athenian Invasion and the Macedonians in fury burned down the city they had captured and marched as fast as they could to the defense of their capitol. The Macedonian Fleet was of course already a lost cause fighting against the finest navy in the world. The Athenian Army soon landed and seeing the route to Macedon open marched upon the city.
As the Athenian Army approached the city they engaged the tired and exhaustion riddled Macedonian Army that just arrived from Apollonia. Here, on the flat open plains east of Macedon the two armies collided. One, a model Greek Army in excellent Phalanx Formation and the other a typical barbarian army as you may already guess, the Greeks won. The typical charge of the Macedonians failed to do much damage to the Athenian Hoplites who speared them at a long distance. The remnants of the Macedonian Army fled south to the sole remaining stronghold of the Macedonian nation leaving Macedon open to conquest. Macedon fell to Athens though not all went well for Athens herself…
A form of cold war had always existed between Sparta and Athens since the last war and relations were very very cold. The Spartans however had decided to leave the Athenians be if they left them alone but the construction of fortifications along their border was the last straw. The Finest Army in the world under the command of King Xenophon crossed the border and assaulted the fortifications still in construction with a massive array of siege weapons. They broke through with large casualties and proceeded to lay siege to Athens taking Delphi. The end of Athens seems near…
