stCVNNES: In Story and Song

I will be playing this as something....I just have to pick some good nation. Amazingly and quite upsetting but me and Storm have similar minds in many ways....

Oh so first update is BT? Oh well.. I'll be sending orders right after 'this commercials' hmm.. a CIV4 game :)

wait...so the BT is 2000 years? Wow, I can do alot in that time.

OK, I have to be in this one! Now, I now this is a bit of a stretch of the limits of civilization, but there is debated evidence of early civilization here:

Nation: Eire
Ruler/Player: High King Cimbaoth/Israelite9191
Age: Early Bronze Age
Religion: Druidism
Government: High Monarchy (One of the local kings becomes the High King)
Income: 1
Manpower: Average
Army: 20 hundreds
Navy: 10 ships
Education: Horrible
Infrastructure: Horrible
Confidence: Horrible
Culture: Horrible
Projects:

Start me at Tara, the ancient seat of the Irish high king. Tara is relatively close to Dublin, lying just outside of the Viking area of settlement. On the NES map the difference is not visible, so just place the capital where Dublin is.

EDIT- When are orders due? Also, if this is unacceptable I will change.

May I ask questions as this game progresses? I have never played a NES game.

Rise of the Portuguese

For hundreds of years the Lusitanian tribes ruled the western Iberian coast. Even while Tarttesos have beaten them in the south they remained the most powerful for quite a long time. Yet something grown inside them, something they never expected, something that will bring down the ancient Lusitania culture and bring up a new way of life...

Around 500 years ago small groups of unknown settlers reached southern Iberia from unknown place in the south (somewhere in Africa). They came in tiny numbers and when Tarttesos begun to expand this people left westward, right into Lusitanian lands. They were few and the Lusitanians barley even noticed their arrival. This people called Portuguese named their 'kingdom' Portugal and had only one city called Lisbon (after an ancient king name) in which they lived. They lived very different lives from the Luistanians. While the Lusitanians were living in tribes which fought against each other, raided each other, Tarttesos and.. Lisbon from time to time the Portuguese were city dwellers, people who had their own growing culture, a small ancient religion and most of all one leader.

Some time have passed and the city of Lisbon seemed to be growing extremely fast. It was not only growth from birth of new children but also from new citizens coming from the Lusitanian tribes and more Portuguese who heard of this place. One day new Portuguese ceased to come. The reason was the conquest of all southern Iberia by the power of Tarttesos. From that time no new Portuguese ever came, so how their power grew? Easy. More Luisitanians.

Some hundred years ago the Portuguese created an army and begun to expand their control over new lands. They needed new farm lands and more places from which to draw resources. Their army, being big, strong and most of all – united successfully conquered many new lands bringing the civilized culture into more Luistanians which accepted it. The Lusitanians were never “hard-core” barbarians... Thing seemed like they would become civilized anyway soon so it happened earlier thanks to the Portuguese army. After some lands were conquered Luisitanian tribes begun to join peacefully into the Portuguese kingdom and culture. Soon the Portuguese culture controlled most of the western coast of Iberia and the Lusitanians were merged fully into the Portuguese. Now time have come for Portugal to rise from it's ashes and become a strong Kingdom, one which will one day, be as strong as any other...

OOC – I'll send orders soon.

Well... I'll let you start there, but you'll have an early disadvantage. Your civilization won't appear until 2500 BCE, so you'll have a much more limited BT period than everyone else. If that's acceptable, great.

Orders are due by 6 PM EST Thursday, preferably by noon EST Thursday.
