stCVNNES: In Story and Song

Are you saying that there were not peoples living in Aquitaine before you arrived? At least in North Africa we solved the conflict peacefully and our people just settled there as well. If your merchants have nothing to do in the Mediterranaen then stop acting so aggressive over us controling the Straits of Gibralter and I am sure your merchants would love to do buisiness with Tartessians and other Iberians.

To Portugal
From Eire
The Council of Kings has heard your request, and finds it to be acceptable. Your ships will be allowed bearth in the port of Galway on the Emerald Isle's western coast. I am also certain that you will alow the Erin merchants into your ports. May Mannanan Mac Lir guide your ships and make all your trade profitable.

To Gwynedd, Alba, and Tintagel
From Eire
The High King would like to open up trade between us. May Mannanan Mac Lir keep the oceans calm for all of your endeavors.

From Tartessos
To Eire

We would like to increase trade and ask that our merchants continue to be welcomed in your ports.

From Tartessos
To Orleans

We would like to increase trade.

From Tartessos
To Aragon, Castille, Basque

We should further increase trade between our nations.

The Image
Wind across the water: the image of parting the wild horse's mane.
Thus the superior man:
Find solace in being alone
And prepares.

The Lines
Six at the beginning means:
It furthers to speak with one voice.
And greet ones brothers at the door.

The Yellow Emperor, Sage King Huang Di greets the new dawn alone. The fickle wind carries no remembrance of Biwa or Fuji. No riders on tired steeds bring tidings from the rice fields of the Yangtze. Courtly dance finds room for many upon the parquet floor, but without partners we are reduced and pushing hands upon the air.

Same here....

I cannot send orders without NPC stats.

to Tarttesos:
How are you goign tot rade with Eire exatcly? Your ships will not pass throught our water, be sure in that.

From Tartessos
To Portugal

Our ships do not have to travel through your water to get to Eire. We can take overland routes to ships in other ports opened to our traders.

To Tartessos
From Eire
The Council of Kings is most delighted to here as such. Galway would be the most appropriate port for your nation. Also, if need be, all trade can be conducted through our ships in your ports. May Brighid's fire light your way.

OOC: Yah, I can't do orders until I get responses.

The Yellow Emperor, Sage King Huang Di sings a hymn in the quiet repose of his garden:
The pilgrim kings are all akimbo,
Without our Cuiv we are all in limbo;
We contemplate the other's notions,
And writing orders set the world in motion;
But, on bejeweled desks now they linger
Without the seal from royal finger,
Shoved aside to gather dust
As in damp armories iron weapons rust;
With fervid prayers of belief
We look to Cuiv for our relief.

Citizens gather outside the walls and listen, enraptured by the voice of their king. Later that night quiet prayers to Cuiv, goddess of good fortune and progress are heard throughout the city. She is placed on high, the brightest of evening stars.

To: Tartessos

We catiously agree, your icy relations with Portugal hopefully will not damage this poential lucrative trade...

I'm sorry, something came up today and I was away all day. I won't be able to finish NPC stats tonight, so if you absolutely need NPC stats for orders I'll have to delay the update either until during the week or until next weekend. I'm willing to do the update tomorrow if everyone can send orders without having NPC stats.

In a minute or two I'll have all diplo answered.

We would agree to such an alliance.

To: Trebizond

Trade is currently quite lucrative. We see no need to seek an alliance at this time.

To: Tartessos

We do well enough on our own, thanks.

BTW, what's with Iberia in this NES? Why does it seem like half the players are on Iberia?

Revived Diplomacy
I don't know if they agreed to the alliance and trade. Or just one or the other. If you didn't even notice it here it is.

From Tartessos
To Castille and Basque

We would like to extend our NAP to an alliance to curve Portuguss and Aragonese aggression. We will provide your merchants with free access to our ports if you agree.This is purely a defensive alliance to protect the sovereignty of our great nations.

Huang Di proclaims in casual banter
Send a horseman at a canter
And to the south in haste pursue
And find that rascal king of Wu
Bring us word of his demeanor
And if his city, next to ours, is cleaner;
We would know if he is well
And how as neighbors we might dwell;
You’ll find him there at river’s edge
Along the Yangtze, our nations’ hedge;
Speak to him, that mighty king,
And of his glories take time to sing.
