Persian wonder: Gate of All Nations

The Gate of All Nations is located at the end of two monumental staircases. Between the staircase ramps are symbols of the Zarathustrian God Ahuramazda, and carvings representing the different Nations of the World, from Egyptians and Armenians, to Babylonians, Assyrians, and Indians. The Gate leads to the Throne Hall, or the Hundred-Column Hall. The Hall contains several doorways adorned with carvings showing the King in military combat. The Gate of All Nations and the Throne Hall are used in New Year's celebrations when delegates present the annual tribute to the Persian King. The gate is guarded by a pair of large bulls in the west and lamassu's in the east (lamassu is a bull with the head of a bearded man). Above the lamassu the following writing will be inscripted.

A great God is Ahuramazda, who created this earth, who created yonder sky, who created man, who created happiness for man, who made Darius king, one king of many, one lord of many.
I am Darius, the Great King, King of Kings, King of countries containing many kinds (of men), King in this great earth far and wide.
Proclaims Darius the King: By the favor of Ahuramazda I built this Gateway of All Nations. I built many other beautiful things in Persia. I built them and my father built them. All beautiful things we built, we have built by the favor of Ahuramazda.
Proclaims Darius the King: May Ahuramazda protect me from harm, and this land, and whatever was built by me as well as what has been built by may father.

hey jason
any room for me?
Saxons have stats, but I don't see them on the map, yet. If that means they're not yet playable, I'll look at another nation. Will join and do orders once I get the answer about Saxony's playability (or lack thereof?)'
EDIT: Never mind Saxons, I just realized they're in England (as in "Anglo-Saxons", though they're clearly separate right now) not the German-Saxons.
I'm going to join as Trypolae instead if it's alright with you, Jason.

Trypolae
Leader: Kamilian1
Government: Monarchy
Age: Bronze Age
Economy: Stable +3 [0/3]
Army: 1,000 Spearmen, 1,000 Archers, 500 Horsemen
Navy: 20 galleys
Confidence: Normal
Education: Idiotic
UU:
Notes:

Orders:
Continue to Increase Economy
Send half of army to patrol borders. Send other half Expanding.

Laplands orders

Increase economy
expand to the pensula in the east and found a city in there.

Orders:

-EDIT: Use one ecopoint to increase army (infantry), they are still green so they will be put to task of building roads rather than being in the front line.
-Use one point to continue the preaching of Zoroaster (education), and making it the official religion of Persia. (do building a wonder cost eco point? If so then cancel this one and use it to build wonder instead.)
-Use last point to continue process of domesticating the local horses and breeding them (train horsemen).
-use 500 spearmen on the 20 galleys to continue expanding along the coast to the east.
-In the upcoming battle with the Bactrians, Use the horsemen's greater mobility to skirmish with them/attack their supply routes. Each time they will attack and retreat quickly, leading them to chase us. The idea here is to tire them out, and test their patience. Alternate the raids between night and day, to make them tense all the time. Also make sure to send scouts ahead to know where/how far they are going. Take advantage of the fact that this is our land we're fighting on so we know the terrain better than them, and plant traps (such as burning small forests that they enter to create confusion amongst them). Eventually, they will be led to a pass in between two hills/mountains/small cliffs, or a valley depending on whatever's available. Once they enter, the archers will ambush them from above with rocks and arrows alike. They will also block off the entrance of the pass with rocks to separate the bactrian army into two. Those outside the pass will be dealt with by spearman that are well rested and hiding in the vicinity. They will attack from 2 sides and pinch the bactrian army.

internet has been dead for 2 days, but now Im back

you mean thrace? or did you post in the wrong nes...

Orders:
-Load up our galleys with 400 spearmen and 200 horsemen and try to counqer Sardinia again.
-Build another city 100 miles west of Carthage and road it.
-Begin building temples to raise our people's education.
-Use one eco point to raise our army.
-Use one ecp point to raise our navy
-Use one eco point to train our army and navy.

Assyrian Secret Orders !no peaking!
Spoiler Orders :

Use two eco points on creating more spearmen regiments
Use and eco point on creating more horseman regiments.
Expand towards the Caspian Sea. Do not expand anywhere else.
Send an emissary to the Hittites asking if they would like to enter into an agreement of sorts.
Invade the kingdom directly to my west. Use the Fast attack segements of my army, the horsemen and the chariots to encircle the slower and poorly led enemy. Destroy the army and encircle the enemy capital, calling for their surrender. If they do not surrender raze it to the ground and enslave the populace. If they do surrender offer the King of the land to become an Assyrian Lord with full rights given as compared to other Assyrian nobles. All enemy nobels that do not fight against the Assyrian takeover will not lose their titles, any nobles that do are to have their daughters enslaved for our harems, their sons killed and themselves taken to our capital for public execution. This should make them think that it will be much better to continue as before under Assyrian leadership, especially considering these people are very closely related to Assyria in the first place. Thanks!

What/where is Khaev???
EDIT: Wait... Jason, you said "create Khaev"... but, again, where would that be? Or did you mean Kiev?

whoops, i misread the rules. it cost 1 eco level to build roads apparently... jason, i changed that part of the order to increasing army and using them to build roads.

I'm going to have to quit ur nes jason, i'm afraid i dun have that "feeling" i usually get for a nation i started and i've lost interest.

My apologies

OK, then... Forget about Trypolae.
I'm starting as the new nation of:

Muscovy
Leader: Tsar Rurik\Kamilian1
Government: Absolute Monarchy
Age: Bronze Age
Economy: Stable +3 [0/3]
Army: 1,000 Spearmen, 1,000 Archers, 500 Horsemen
Navy:
Confidence: Normal
Eduction: Idiotic

Notes: Starting at real-life Moscow.

Orders shall be done tomorrow, as it's late night here, and time for me to go to bed. :)

Macdonald: “Clansmen, we stand here together celebrating the victory of Clan MacDonald over Clan Mackintosh and the achievement of a total union between all the clans of the Highlands!.
James Mackintosh, you and your clansmen fought valiantly and are now a welcomed part of clan Macdonald, you’re becoming our latest sept has greatly strengthened Clan Macdonald and the Kingdom of the Isle”

Mackintosh: “Aye, you gave us a bloody sound beating McDonald, my men and I will be honored to follow you into battle”

Macdonald
: “It will be our honor to have you at our side brothers.
However before we start celebrating this historic event let us discuss the matters at hand; Macleod your sept rules the lands of our northern borders, what do you know of these Picts people that live on our northern border?”

Macleod
: “Not much, they seem to be a bit shy, we do know that they do battle practically naked with their bodies painted all over with dark paints and that they are ruled by a man named Drust mac Erp”

Macdonald
: “Mac Erp? Is he a clansmen? I never heard of him”

Macleod: “I’m not sure, they do some trade with border villages and some peddlers who have been there say they have some things in common with us, though their language is distinctly different, they didn't seem eager to do battle or trade”

Macdonald: “Well, the Kingdom of the Isles can offer them much more that our single separated clans could in the ways of trade, let us see if we can establish good relations and some trade with them, Macleod you will be in charge of doing so”

Macleod: “It will be my honor”

Macdonald: “What about our southern neighbors the Saxons and the Angles, Macalister you rule those lands, what knowledge do you posses on them?”

Macalister: “Oh fine folks those, I have no idea what their story is but one thing is sure, they hate each other, their favorite pastime seems slaughtering each other and for as far as I can remember they were doing it. Once in a while one of the parties came to us for some trade, most of the time looking for weapons or valuables to use for raising more armies”

Macdonald: “That's a long time to stay at war, has one side managed to gain the upper hand?”

Macalister: “the Angles currently hold most land though the Saxons hold considerably better defensible positions, the Angles have more people and more money but the Saxons have considerably better and cheaper access to raw materials, I’d say they are pretty balanced with no end to the war in sight”

Macdonald: “Well then, perhaps we can give a gentle push on the scale and tip the balance, gaining a lot with just a little effort, Macalister contact the Angles, offer them our support in exchange of a equal cut of the gains, if they accept you will be commanding our Highlanders with the mission to help the Angles in defeating the Saxons, In such an occasion I suggest you make a surprise attack on their flank, swiftly routing or crushing them.”

Macalister: “It will be my honor”

Macdonald: “Now the final issue is exploration, we know for a fact the existence of a very large landmass southwest of us, some minor trading goes on with costal fishing villages though those traders are oblivious to whether or not anything beyond tribal chiefs rules those lands, to the north there are several unclaimed islands, MacLean you will be given command over 15 Ships and 800 Men, your task will be to land on that landmass, establish a colony and find out what kind of organized opposition there is on that island, if none is found expand as much as possible.

MacLean: “It will be my honor”

Macdonald: “MacNeil, your will receive 5 ships and 250 Men, your task will be to claim the northern islands for our glorious kingdom and to explore further those seas”

MacNeil: “It will be my honor”

MacDonald: “Very well, enough talking about duty, it is part time for fun, Let us drink until we pass out and our wives and daughters have to carry us off to bed!”

To the Picts
Northern Brethren, as a sign of friendship and goodwill we would like to establish trade relations between our peoples.

To the Angles

Greetings great warriors of the south, we offer you our aid in defeating your arch enemies the Saxons in exchange of a share of the spoils.
We would also like to start building roads between our nations and start trading so that both our nations might greatly prosper.

Orders:
Invest 3 Economies in Wonder
Send 15 Ships and 800 Men (500 Spearmen and 300 Archers) to establish a colony in Ireland, expand our holdings on the island if those lands are inhabited by anything less than a Nation
Send 5 Ships and 250 Men (150 Spearmen and 100 Archers) to claim the islands to the north (Hebrides, Orkneys, Shetlands, Faeroe and hopefully spot Iceland ;))
Use 350 Spearmen and 600 Archers to build a road to between the capitol and the major settlement in the east, rotate the shifts so that everyone does a little bit of work (and no one gets overworked).
Use the 500 Horsemen to partrol the Kingdom and crush any bandit activity and border raids, in the event of an invasion use the Horsemen to Harass the enermy forces and supply lines while the Army who’s building a road has time to abandon that task, regroup and organize a defense of the kingdom.
If diplomatic offer accepted Send 1000 Highlanders to join the Angles in their wars against the Saxons
