SW3 - we are NINJA

UP, and looking forward to removing mao a second time.

I know how to solve single large cities with lots of spears -- "Soylent green. It's people!"

I don't know the science advances off the top of my head, but I wonder if gunning for Magnetism would be better, due to building ship? (Or are we super far away from Magnetism?)

Then again, with 2 movement samurai, moving everything to Hangchow shouldn't be too bad, and sticking with galley.

Magnetism is pretty far away still. We're about a quarter of the way through the Middle Ages, and Magnetism is at the end. The longer we wait, the more cities India will have, too.

I think we can get a good start, maybe finish off the top island, if we attack now. Maybe we can then make peace, work our way to Magnetism (which we'll be closer too), and then attack the mainland?

cash rush as many galleys as we need (say 10), sail them to the crossing point. build a city on the northern island for a base...nevermind, this is too complicated to explain. I'll try to get a picture up later tonight

:rotfl: You crack me up!!!

Magnetism would be the 6th tech from present - too far away. I'm 1/2 done, and getting galleys in the queue, looking for rush opportunities, and moving troops. Should be able to rebuild Hangchow in the next 1-2 turns. As far as I can tell, we are about 6-1 behind in the galley race, only having 2.

Cash rush some on the east coast?

If i've done the counting thingy correctly, we can fill up "our" continent and not have to worry about domination. Really will try to get a strategic plan up soon.

Place cities as indicated. Raze as indicated. use 2-3 galleys to shuttle troops between the two northern cities. Land move the troops between the northern city and the southern after roading.

Raze as indicated. Build one city in the north (rax first then walls). use 2-3 galleys to shuttle troops between the land masses. after the razing is done, go for delhi. keep building settlers and military and send them north asap. Hope this is over before mag.

We don't have to worry about hitting domination. SW checked only Conquest and Space Race as VCs (maybe Histograph too...), so even if we get 66% land and pop, we won't win (or should I say, lose). Check the Victory Screen.

The war plan looks good, though, AK. :)

and the save.

So I guess it's up to me now. Is there a general (or specific) gameplan? Or just go kill everyone. I saw A-K's dotmap... What tech are we going for just Magnetism? or do we want to get MT since we will have Leo's?

I should be able to play tomorrow.

does this mean you're angry or knackered?
The fact that he wasn't too coherent I'm guessing the latter....

Anyway no turn log, just a picture and a save. I was confused as to why we hadn't declared on India before my turn started. So I played about 5-6 turns with out declaring. I found the "extra" Indian city....it was NW of our capital. ...Moved a bunch of troops there. India landed a settler in the west and I decided that was just not right....so preserving our rep I removed any troops out of his territory and

Well I took a couple of slaves out in the west and got a leader. I only loaded 1 samari into it at first to get it into a galley. Took the city near our capital in the east. Ghandi landed a templar and settler and got two more slaves.

Sent the partially filled army accross the Straight Of Victory and quickly took the northern town. Moved the army down and sent more troops across the straight. There are a bunch of galleys in the east that could attempt the jump but I didn't want to loose a bunch of samari...

I also had been rushing a LOT of settlers. I think that I founded at least 10 cities and 4-5 settlers are in transit... Pushing the mop around wasn't too thrilling so I played a few extra turns to compensate.
Save from 1090AD

As you can see, Dacca was founded on the saltpeter. That is why I had the units there interdicting any landings. Jumbos are bad enough without muskets on defense.

Well since we can't get those armies across the water until we get bigger ships, they'll do fine in killing the guards and getting slaves out of the settlers.

Dacca was promptly destroyed. I don't know if I mentioned that but I welcome landings. They only land 2 units at a time. Until the AI gets smarter and uses more than one boat at a time. This will reduce the force that Ghandi has on his mainland and will allow an easier time in rolling him over

I didn't follow A-K's map mainly because I forgot about it. Also we didn't have the settlers in place to do it. So I just kept those cities. The flip risk wasn't high at the time. We'll see as things progress.
