I don't know, but you have to admitt, the swedish monarchy is a bit whacky.

Non-Swede voting no. They produce such lovely offspring (= Madde).
but do you expect her to be less lovely if she's not of the ruling family anymore? ;)

anyway, I'm not a big fan of monarchies, so let's cut it down :king:

Even though I'm a US citizen, Viking blood courses through my VEINS! But I voted no. :) My dad took my family to Sweden though when I was in high school and picked up a picture of the Swedish royal family and put it up in my locker. My classmates didn't know what to think of it!

NO thise communists who vote against it can go to their multi cultural ghetto and live on my money but they won't take my KIng.He is tradition.

I'm pretty sure your state religion and multiculturalism is tradition too, and you seem to knock those off pretty well.

If Canada deserves a poll, so do Sweden.
Not really - it would be more like "If the UK deserves a poll, so does Sweden." It's not directly analagous because your monarch isn't in monarch of more than one country, with your country being a lesser partner in the relationship.

haha, yeah. I think the Monarchies are great, save the next in line to QE II.

And make a TV reality show about it:
"swap the Royals!"

I'm gonna be so freakin'rich.

If you wanted to make it really interesting then switch the British and Saudi monarchs.

I am a fierce republican; the idea of a monarch or nobility sickens me. It says that because they were born into a certain family they are inherintly 'higher up' in society than you are. Of course in today's world this still happens when people are born into rich families; but it is not an established doctrine made official by the government like royalty or nobility.

Ah but see that would be for season 3 or 4. First seasons, get the public used to the idea, and then go into the controversial stuff to retain them - excitement should always increase, not decrease.
Season 6: the Queen of the Gay Pride swaps with the Queen of Conservatistan.

We gotta get that Japenese Emperor guy in there too.

yeah, and swap him with King Mswati 3 of Swaziland.

I'd love to see how he would handle the harem.
"Mswati's rule has been criticised for ignoring the growing problems of his subjects while lavishly spending his nation's wealth on his own personal comfort, including buying a fleet of royal limousines, a luxury jet that cost a quarter of the nation's annual budget(he eventually did not buy it after his subjects complained), and building and renovating palaces to house his thirteen wives. The civil and media freedom of speech are claimed by many to be restricted but as per its own admission in conferences with other regional media houses (MISA), it is free to report as it pleases. There is still a long way to go though before it really does as it pleases as in other democratic societies. All unmarried women were in 2001 placed under the chastity rite of "umcwasho" between 9 September 2001 and 19 August 2005 in an attempt to curb the spread of HIV and AIDS. This rite (re-introduced after suggestion from NGO's), banned sexual relations for Swazis under 18 years of age, but in 2005, he violated this decree when he married a 17 year old girl, who became his 13th wife. As per custom, he was fined a cow by members of her regiment which he duly paid."
