I agree that we should give his civ to an AI for now. It's been like 10 turns missed. When you get a chance Sommer. I don't really like how there's only a couple of people really playing out of 10. I'm going to send out some emails to people who haven't signed up inviting them to join Team AMAZON.
When I Log into the Game Kublai Khan shows as an AI named remake's ghost Is that not the case in the game?
In thinking about a New Pitboss it seems best to use a Pangea Map. That way there will be more early contact, and more action. Naval/Island Maps seem nice in theory, but in practice, they just end up taking too long to get going.
So I would like to Start the next AMAZON Pitboss in the next couple of days if possible. Besides Pangea, are there any other settings that folks want? What about a Quick setting so tech and builds get done faster? How about playing with restricted leaders this time?

On CivStats at least it didn't say AI next to his name and he hadn't taken his turn like an AI would have, but maybe that got fixed or CivStats just doesn't know. Actually now that I think about it I can't see his name in-game on the list as I would with a human-controlled player, so maybe it's a CivStats thing. CivStat's says his empire hasn't taken a turn in 10 turns.
Quick and restricted leaders sound good. Barbs: Normal or Off. Tech Trading: On. Tech Brokering: don't care. We could put Huts in it too. They're kind of fun, mostly the reason not to play with them is either because the AI (at high levels) get helped out much more than you because they start with multiple scouting units or because they put a random element into the game and therefore don't test true skill on an even playing field. We're not playing AI (hopefully) and if we really went gung-ho even situations and see who can micro the best, we would take the fun out of it and after all one of the primary goals of Team AMAZON is to have fun.
I want fast action, a high level of resources (i.e. good starts), with tech trading on. Restricted leaders take a layer of unnecessary complexity out of the game I think, so I'm for that. Our discussion is getting way too "Sirius" around here. What we need is more FUN. I'd be ok with doing paired Civs like in Sirius's team pitboss or giving double settlers and worker at the start to speed up the start if people wanted.

Before I reload Pitboss II, something occured to me and I just want to throw it out there to see how folks feel about it.
Has anyone playing noticed that since we have been going with one Pitboss it runs alot smoother, with many more days between crashes? Indiansmoke told me once that when you run multiple pitbosses it crashes more often... makes sense... So anyway are Harvman and SilCon ready to abdicate to Calis and let this AI heavy Pitboss go? Or... If you guys want to continue with it, its perfectly fine. I will just start a new Pitboss along with the current one.
I really need to do a complete format and reinstall of the Pitboss CPU, which will probably make it run with less crashes, and elimminate that "files don't match error" but I keep putting it off. I dont feel like looking for the reboot CD, plus reinstalling everything is such a pain
as Im sure everyone knows.

I just recently conquered Russia on a neighboring island, and I think I would eventually be in a good position to challenge Calis, but it's not going to be that fun playing with a bunch of AI. I will gladly withdraw from competition if the others do. If not I will play until the end. It's up to them. If we do quit, I say we declare Calis the winner based on his point lead.
