TerraNES: The Civil Experiment

I can't save changes nor open the save file nor access the backup.

I'm sure you tried this, but just to get it out there. Did you try to open it with a different program?

2050. The United States has won a Time Victory, and the player is considering to not play one more turn. The end of the world is nigh, and all are making their last prayers.

Sounds about right. I assume the deadline for orders passed by sometime during my hibernation period?

After a week of contemplation (and guilt, oh boy, the guilt) I've decided to move forward. If anyone is still here, please post. Post anything. I'm going to say what is set, and then I will also offer several choices.

What is set is this: The next update will have no distinct spending orders. Instead, you will send me a list of goals which may range from concrete (raise an army, conquer a neighbor, build a project) to the abstract (improve the army, spread an ideology, change your culture). This will be a 50 year turn. As a rule of thumb: A city state should aim for about 3 goals Max. A small power 4-5. A regional power 6-8. A superpower 9-14 and a "world power" (read, Hyak, possibly Katan) 15 or more. The fewer goals you have, and the simpler they are, the greater chance that you will succeed. If you are a world power and dedicate your all your resources during this turn to find and conquer a way to China, you will certainly have enough resources to accomplish quite a bit.

Now, here are several options.

1) Currently, there is no Map. Making a new Map will take all day for me. Summer will arrive in 2 weeks: Memorial Day Weekend is this weekend. I will try to work on it Memorial day. Option will be whether I should prioritize Update 20, or prioritize on getting the Update 19 map up, learning gimp, and reestablish backups.

I feel so stupid. I have a backup, but I pressed the spacebar before I pressed enter after typing the name, so it was a floating entry in my folder. I found it while checking my blank map copies. >.> False alarm guys, map up tomorrow. >.>

Hallelujah! Will send orders tomorrow when I have some free time.

Just to clarify, would Yunka be considered a city-state or a small power?

Seoul is present.

To clarify, am I a small or regional power?

On the same note, would you call Ulyan a city-state?

Small. Tour region is comparably very undeveloped.

Regional. You're top dog of the Xilan seas.
On the same note, would you call Ulyan a city-state?
Yes. A city state with minor outposts.
I would guess the Amir are a regional power, right? Being the largest in the area?
Sure. I'll introduce new players,as in npcs, in your region soon enough.

The Bloody Throne is here. Get on your knees, peasants.

If you're interested, you and the Dominon of Tanis are both superpowers.

I'd like to think the facial expression I made upon receiving this news could be described as maniacal.

I will be participating.
