Terrorists suspected in attack in China's Muslim region that kills 16

Why you are surprised? We have a million Internet Policemen. They even have two cartoon characters (Jingjing and Chacha, spelled as Jing Cha--Police).
These two?

I actually find them quite cute. :D

Had to wiki both of the characters. It seems to me that the two characters send a chilling effect by intimidating" and openly reminding them to "self-regulate their online behavior". It would be like seeing an image of Big Brother everywhere I go, including the Internets.

The only difference between Chinese National Security and US ones are their power abuses and extra-juridical power...
Yikes! And yet the Government looks away?!

Your image just has a bunch of Chinese (Simplified) Characters.

Let's try again:

is it working now?

Now it is. The ones I saw on Wiki were riding on some sort of manhole covers.

Awe so cute. Why those two can carry me to a field and shoot me in the back of the head anytime.

No, they don't shoot you--they browbeat you.

Ahhh, I like those Guangzhou Internet Police, I've actually met some and some of my friends actually got in their custody for some hours. Well, not too bad, no Gulag, etc.

"If you don't stop posting and show remorse of your erratic behavior, we'll send your sorry ass to jail!" Such remarks by the police personnel. Then they release you.
That sounds like Moderating to the extreme!! :faint:

Maybe you or your friend should take revenge like this man. Man fatally stabs 5 police officers in Shanghai

He killed actually 6 police officer(one died in the hospital) and seriously injured 4 in the police station with a knife. Seriously can someone kill and injure that many polices in the police station even with a machine gun in US?

Maybe not a machine gun, but if he was able to sneak in an automatic weapon of sorts he could probably cause a lot of damage, IF he wasn't discovered.

Actually, doing research for my IB Extended Essay, I would say that Xinjiang's roots would really go under Yuan China when it was actually placed under direct imperial control (then lost again) under Kublai though that's just from one book...

That's crazy

North Hollywood Shootout:

Two men with:
Full coverage body armor
AK-47s
M16s
HK assault rifles
Thousands of rounds of ammunition

0 Police fatalities
--------------------
Shanghai Knife Attack:

One man with:
One knife

6 Police fatalities

Also if we take old GI Joe cartoons as reference then the North Hollywood shootout is just about par for the course. :mischief:
(i.e. explosions galore and thousands of $$$ in property damage but no one even gets hurt)

Thats not a terrorist attack.

Police officers are a legitimate target as far as I'm concerned. This is a guerrilla attack yes. But not terrorist since the intended targets belong to the government and are armed.

They're not soldiers in a combat zone, what the hell? Ambushing police officers (public servants) in peacetime =/= legitimate war.

If I shot one of those doofuses standing outside Birmingham Palace, would that be legit? NO
