Probably off topic: I received a religious vision reading this thread. Let me bring myself into the mode, and tell you what i see... Ah there, resting on top of the Shapeless, foggily illuminated by the Holy Light, i see a slightly deformed earth map four thousand years before our civ-specific Zero of Time. Ah see, in this world, oh mah, lo and behold!, the map is almost completely covered with capitol territories! Ah see... ah...
Uh, "the mode" was stupid, and more importantly, difficult, so here goes again, in a more profane way: (rolling the dice for Skill of Explaining) How about as a
measure for which civs to include the aim of covering the entire earth with capitols? So that everywhere is as cramped as Europe! This would probably make a strange but actionpacked and fun game. You would have to use a map with a somewhat unproportionately large Europe... I guess the history of this this kind of world will be a lot different from the actual History (meaning that the aborigines or whatever might rise to rule the world or something). But Civ couldnt be realistic -- that would be too controversial for commerce.
That brings me to the 2nd suggestion: How about FIRST listing all the "important enough" civs, THEN shaping the map to fit your selection! You could call it Ethnocentriciv...
Please let me know if anything like these two ideas have been done. Im new to fanatics.
