Not really. The brain is hardwired to process visual information above all else. It's not even that problematic. With the exception of some of the people who use the pre-provided avatars (Mobboss for example) there's little chance of accidental duplication.

The worst is when you see someone's avatar, or something that resembles someone's avatar, in real life, and then automatically associate it with that person on CFC That's sooo embarassing.

Apparently the mods got fooled as well. If you've been following the "How high can you count with your hands?" thread, they deleted Abaddon's post, which was identical to and immediately after mine (and using his avatar), and my post immediately after it, which said "sorry double post".

HA! This just happened to me the other day. I saw a bumper sticker on a car that was the same as Dawgphood001’s avatar (the only other place I had seen it before) and immediately thought of CFC.

I think of it as faces and nametags. Who's going to bother looking at the nametag of a person whose face they recognize?
