Muahaha no use fighting it eh? Seems everyone is hell bent on giving you the monitor whether you want it or not.

The virus handbook gives -1 STR temporarily to the target of the virus. A virus handbook writes viruses every few days--it's not everyday. It's fairly worthless except to any killers who want to lessen the strength of their victim.
Now, so I guess suggesting how a PC system might work counts as suspicious. Oh well.
I myself am interested in:
1) Duke Balckstone--he said he would sell me his vote but again, he looks suspicious in this thread and claims to want the highest PC. Main reason for suspicious is he didn't die when lynched for apparently no reason--and he doesn't seem like a joker.
2) Zack--zack Pmed me asking why I was talking to ask the pizza guy, etc, and a "lengthy defense"; he has rallied votes either in private or with his mafia masons for soem reason. People vote him the moniter, the beer, etc without asking any questions (unless they are in private). He has a moniter and will take another one, etc. Yet he does not identify what the moniter does. Zack is now selling his vote--in our Pm exchanges, I pointed out how many people might have the goal of highest PC or need extra PC as people were selling their vote.
If any innocent knowsof a PC based ability you should point it out. It's very important to figure out game mechanics.
The unfortunate thing is taht Zack probably thinks he is serving the cause of the innocents, which is quite sad. If you guys think a killer/ma fia will tell everything he knows from the immediate start then clearly I am mafia. All the ingredients for my pie must be there.
3) choxorn- choxorn also stated he began with a computer that can write viruses with the virus handbook. Unless killers are really neutral vigilantes that anyone can hire, the virus is worthless to innocents; innocents don't have a way to kill. I myself have a computer and have a PG to use viruses, which I again hope is a reason why killers are more neutral. I expect this to probably bring lynch votes against me as "clearly Kennigit is a killer since he wants to decrease the strength of people," but either the killing system is more neutral or I was assigned a poorly balanced role of an innocent that has abilities that hurt innocents. So assuming the game IS more balanced, it makes sense for someone with a computer to be a killer or mafia.
Lastly, an open question--since there are thieves in this game (who stole my virus handbook), perhaps there is a security system item for your computer, Moniters give strength, computers write viruses, and maybe there is anti-theft.
Factions identified:
1) Spam police
2) Mafia
3) Off-Topic posters and civ 3 C&C. These aren't really factions but role PMs have them included. Right now I think it may be the PG of killers to kill someone of a certain forum--in the rules, it does explain how Killer 1 wants to kill innocent 1. THe only reason I can thik of why killer one would have a particular goal to kill a particular innocent would be if killer 1 was designated to kill people from the Off Topic forum or w/e.
4) "Super-geniuses"
5) probably some people wih the role of Pirates as they can steal
edit- if there are any innocents scanners, I encourage you to scan everyone who was injured last lynch attempt. People who voted for ATPG may have known he may not have died. As well as the fact there was not a night kill.

And it is awefully fishy that Zack seems to have people coming in all over voting for him "out of the blue". Why do you suppose that is Zack? How is Chox, bestrfc, and wideyed just nonchalantly passing you whatever you want? I think it is still a bit early to know roles as of yet (ATPG excluded) but there seems to be some kind of pact or something going on I am missing.

Yeah sure. But I know I'm innocent and if I ever get scanned/die/whatever everyone will know that's the case.
The virus takes away strength during the night, so it's only applications are
1) a killer/mafia weakening a victim
or 2) an innocent trying to weaken a killer who may attack.
But for the innocent to be effective, he has to either be lucky and guess a killer or he has to know someone is a killer. And if he knows someone is a killer the innocents should just lynch that person. So an innocent's best use of the virus is probably saving it until the end when there are fewer people left; viruses can stack and with a smaller pool the innocent has better chances of success.
Meanwhile, a killer can always use the virus hand-in-hand with his attack.
Just throwing it out there-- viruses are only good for 1 purpose. And someone stole my handbook last night. It also had my pie recipes in it so I'd like it back. The reward still stands.

I'm not sure there is any leading bandwagon I'd support, but abstaining likely would not do much today either, my friend Pluto (not the planetoid) says.
I'll definitely vote myself for the monitor, no one else's bid for it seems trustworthy. It's not going to make my Strength anything impressive, but at this point I'd rather just ensure items aren't in the wrong hands where it would make a difference.
As for the permab& - well, I wish I had more ability to do anything to sniff out and get rid of some troublemakers. But all I've got is my vote, and our leads are still a mess.
Between Duke and ATPG, there's got to be a guilty party - the chances are just too slim they are both jokers or immortal neutral people who's only purpose is to be neutral and get money or what. Unfortunately, I think the easiest way to sort this out would be a nightkill in either case, given failed attempts at permab&s.
And as for Krill - he just turned up Mafia in another game, the mini-NOTW, so given there is no evidence on him here, just something in private, I think that might be the better explanation, he was avoiding people because of that.
