To be honest, I think most of the stuff in this thread is awful.

If I had it my way, skyscrapers would be nothing but art-deco.

Now, these are the kind of buildings that you hope never actually get built, because it would mean that something somewhere has gone very wrong indeed, but all the better for it.

Also, more realistically, Le Corbusier's design for the Palace of the Soviets was much more interesting than the ridiculous thing that they actually picked (but, thank Christ, never actually built):
