! PLEASE HELP !
I have offered to help email after email, and no one responds!

I've finally given up, and have decided I will just have to wait till the end as the units I am interested in are the ones no one seems to be working on.

I'll try again, I really want to work on the ships and artillery. I would like to make a Medieval Mod and need more of those to add a variety.

These are all excellent units, but what is the difference in dragoons, hussars, and cuirassiers? I am trying to collect a lot of cavalry units for my personal mod, but would I need one of each if I'm not making a midieval mod? Is there enough of a difference to include them all in a tech tree which is slightly more expanded than the original or should I stick with just one or two extra mounted units? If someone could give me some advice I would appreciate it.

First, I don't consider Hussar Dragoon or Cuirassier medieval. They were during 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. A bit late for medieval. A bit early for industrial (that's why in my mod the first era is ancient & medieval, and the second renaissance & imperialism.

Second, what is the difference :
- Hussar = light fast cavalry -> lower defense and attack, but +1 move. I give them ZOC (harrassment) and Blitz (they have a low attack, but they can use blitz to exploit weak points in the ennemy lines, and attack poor defender behind ennemy lines).
- Dragooon = mounted infantry. Medium attack and defense, but I give them defensive bombardment (= range of 0).
- Cuirrassier = shock cavalry, high attack value.

In my mod, all these different type of cavalry is available at the same time, with the same techs.

How do you go about getting one Civ to build three different cavalry units during the same time frame? -- I know there must be a formula the AI uses to decide, via some sort of weighing of values and attributes, what to build, but AFAIK this has never been cracked -- the general rule appears that, unless build costs are dramatically different, the AI will build either (1) the strongest possible combat unit or (2) a hidden nationality / invisible unit.

Thanks As Always,

I play hotseat game with several human players as myself. My NI (Natural Intelligence) is more interesting than the A"I" (Artificial "Intelligence"). I keep a few computer in the game for surprise.

I think if you ahve 1/3 human and 2/3 AI, it's fine

Well, as a colleague quipped long ago, "I've never seen AI , but I've seen plenty of VAI" -- VERY Artificial Intelligence ... :)

Thx,

Oz

Would it be possible to get just the basic "Winged Hussar" files from you (or have you post them, whatever is easiest) if you weren't going to animate that one? Its the last one of all the files you had posted that I was really waiting for and I'd be willing to finish that one if you had no plans to do so!
