The drawing thread

Random nonsense. I've been attempting to utilise watercolours/ink this past month. These are my early efforts:

Mirumoto Isoroku, samurai from the tabletop RPG I'm playing right now. I prefer the non-painted version.

Progression of images as I try to work out how painting works.

And, well, me.

I made this in a few hours. My first -real- space art using photoshop. REALLY like how it turned out.

But the second (smaller) world celestial body is on fire as well. :)

Yeah, the smaller body needs to be receded into the background more.
Currently, they appear as though they occupy the same plane.

It coudl be a prophetic drawing of what's gonna happen in about two weeks…

Noted. Thanks for the tip.

Theodore Roosevelt. I've been getting a lot better since I'm been taking a watercolor illustration class. This is my first portrait with the media. It's very challenging in that you can't paint light colors over dark. All the white color comes from the paper showing through. Watercolor is very unforgiving; if you make a mistake you can't paint over it unless it's with a darker color. The advantage with watercolor is that it takes much less time. This was about 15 hours of work.

Watercolour.

I'd ask if it was possible, but obviously it is.

It's Christmas, people! And since I don't really feel like playing videogames all day long, I've decided to do something else. And why not draw? The only thing I've drawn in years out of Technical Drawing class are a couple maps, in spite of the many more times I've wanted to draw something. It's just that I didn't know what to draw. So why not start with a self-portrait from behind? I started today, though and it's obviously a work in progress.

EDIT: I post it like this since the pencil broke and I can't find any sharpener. Darn it.
