Proof is ABV% times 2. 80 proof or 40% abv is 'standard' for liquor and afaik the vast majority of spirits sold are at that level, at least in the US. Most of what I drink is 40%, I just bought some bourbon that's 94 proof, and I occasionally drink (slightly watered-down) 112-proof rum.

Almost all the brandy I drink is cognac or calvados, though, so that may be why yours is lower.

Brandy is really the best alcoholic drink ever. It's not as strong as other spirits but strong enough that you taste the alcohol and slow down. Perfect for getting drunker and drunker without getting too drunk.

I've been shifting to Malort for almost exactly that reason.

Dude so, okay. I went to my friend's band's show at this bar's opening party tonight. Very professional bar staff. Some of them very pretty. Two of them wearing REAAAAAAAAAALLY edit: no being judgey internet jock jerks about this.. end edit.. low cut shirts, one like wow and the other like WOW. It's been a while (seeing cleavage on display like that) but, I just, I dunno man. It was emotional. I was like, well, do I work to look you in the eye even though you and your coworkers planned it? Good eyes to look into, but still. At some point. It almost made me a better person, it all.

Yeah, well, of course !
The few times I was on kratom, posting on the internet was very low on my list of priorities.
