...Is that 'history of Rome' one using the map from RFCE? (Pretty sure Italy isn't nearly that big in DOC, even with the proposed larger map)

Dear T_80,
Thank you very much for these videos! They are very fun to watch and also illustrate what one can do with DoC.
I have a big request/idea for you, since you got all these skills: represent the situation on DoC map right before the WW2. This can be the initial stage for creating the video of representing WW2 itself, with every turn being a month if possible. Even if video will prove to hard to make -- simply giving community the working map representing World in 1931, right before Japanese invasion of Manchuria, would be a pure delight for DoC enthusiasts.

The Manchurian Crisis had a significant negative impact on the moral strength and influence of the League of Nations and was the first brutal expansion of one country on the expense of another in the post-WW1 World. As critics had predicted, the League, which was supposed to make sure that World War will never happen again, was powerless if a strong nation decided to pursue an aggressive policy against other countries, allowing a country such as Japan to commit blatant aggression without serious consequences. Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini were also aware of this, and within three years would both follow Japan's example in aggrandization against their neighbors: in the case of Italy, against Abyssinia; and Hitler, against Czechoslovakia and Poland.

WW2 was the most widespread war in history, and directly involved more than 100 million people from over 30 countries. It is a shame that DoC was not used by any modmodder to re-enact this most definitive and global event in human history.

Making a 1939 scenario is something that I've been thinking about for a while, though it would be a lot of work. (I'd start it in 1939 to focus on the war and make sure at least the initial stages of the war happen.)

Thank you so much for such a great reply.:c5happy: I appreciate it and totally agree with you. I've paid much attention to the great world wars while making my first world history video. I included such great military conflicts as Hundred Years' War, Thirty Years' War, War of the Spanish Succession, Great Northern War, Seven Years' War, Napoleonic Wars, Opium Wars, WWI, WWII, etc. It's really sad that DoC was not included this major wars as script events for sure.
If you want me to make this scenario of the World before WWII in 1931 (1939), I can do this, but it will take a long time (cos I'm still very busy) and you will have to download my full version of the mod (~2GB)..

P.S. It makes me sad that there are no new subscribers on my channel

Subbed! As Succession Stories. By the way -- great choice of music!

I don't mind downloading your mod if WW2 will prove to be playable. However, I am curious -- why it is not possible to create the same type of videos with vanila DoC mod?

Thanks, I really carefully choose the music for my history videos :culture::culture::culture:. To show WWII in my video using vanila DoC mod, I need to use the Python and SDK modding. But this is impossible cuz I have no skill in this type of modding :undecide: I really tried to learn but failed due to various reasons.

TL,DW: there really needs to be an independent city on the island of Crete to represent Knossos. If it's not one that is present from the start, perhaps it could be auto-founded in 2500 BC (beginning of Minoan civilization) or 2000 BC (evidence of earliest buildings/writing/tech). That should provide some incentive for early Greek civ to expand to Crete -- to grab a city, or free up the seas for Athens BFC -- so the island isn't left blank for the rest of history.

I agree with you, there must be an independent city on this island.
There is a screenshot of the island of Crete in 2000 BC.

BTW, this was the case in an earlier version of the mod (or maybe it was even an early version of RFC?)

Or maybe in some modmod of DoC. ;)
