The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

Bumping since I didn't want to start a new thread, but I got The Last Federation on Steam.

The game's pretty interesting. You're the last of your kind, and got an awesome ship, and your goal is to create a solar system federation by getting the eight species in the solar system to join, or wipe out the ones who don't want to join.

Or not. There's an observer mode where you can watch things unfold. The game's tutorial is integrated into a normal game, so you're not overwhelmed with options at the get-go.

Ooo is it good? Cus I saw the trailer and it looks quite awesome. Is the combat really turn based? It kind of reminded me of SPAZ screen shots.

for any math nerds this is an interesting beta game. its free and is basically a lot of geometry math problems but pretty interesting to figure out. its from an article i saw on i09.com.

http://euclidthegame.org/

it has some bugs but if you're stuck most of the answers in the comments sections. i did about 10 of them. dont know how many math problems there are.

Have any of you played Plague Inc. Evolved?
It is a plague/virus simulator where the goal is to infect, then eradicate (or enslave) the human population.

Yeah I have the free version on my phone, of which the PC version is a port. Its fun to play while on a bus or something or as a flash game where it has its origins, but not something I'd pay more than a couple bucks for on PC.

Would be a decent game to play while watching Netflix though.

I bought it for full price. 33% deep isn't worth the cost unless you have cash burning in your wallet, but even then, there's over a week left for the summer sale.

It is pretty much like an expanded Pandemic, and I find myself playing it every so often for an hour or two before getting bored of it and coming back. Fun, but not days and days of fun.

Got myself The Swapper 2,79€ on Steam.

Edit: agreed on Plague - not worth full price. Maybe recommendable at 5€, maybe. I've given it nearly 10 hours, maybe it gets better but I'm done with it for now.

Also got The Wolf Among Us on sale.

I keep wanting to get SMAX, but according to the GOG page my drivers are too new.

I picked up Defy Gravity because it was 29 cents. Its an okay game, I don't really like it, I just wanted it for the cards (which sold for more than the game cost when I bought it) and/or easy badge.

Also picked up Tomb Raider: Anniversary Edition since it was $2.24, looking forward to playing that at some point in the future.

Oh, and Captain2 gifted me Civ5 Complete.

I got Tomb Raider too. Hope it's a nice throwback to platforming/action games of yore.

I was just browsing the Steam page for CFC and noticed your hours for Mount and Blade are... astonishing. You must really enjoy it.

I am pretty sure that's not even a quarter of the amount of time I've spent playing M&B & Warband. Most of my time on Steam is for Napoleonic Wars DLC and its predecessor mod Mount&Musket though.

I picked up Planetary Annihilation!

...

It's 100% unplayable pre-alpha crap

CTD every time, and I can't update my drivers because my notebook is already running the last version released for 2nd gen iCore CPU machines. Latest driver required third gen. Verified integrity of files, updated dx9, etc. still broken

That game seems to have been pre-alpha forever. Which is a shame because the concept sounds very good.
