The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

This one is not really a new game but someone gave me their copy of Arma II and I'm loving it. Best FPS evah, especially when played using Benny's Warfare Mod.

I just got dwarf fortress. Any tips would be appreciated.

Here's a new game I DIDN'T get on special on gamersgate

DD-TOWTRUCK.jpg

Someone gave it a serious review that includes priceless bits.

The towing is very tedious. All you do is find a car that is incorrectly parked (shown by a red dot on a map), pull right next to it, and tow it away after a 10 minute lifting procedure. You then unload it back at your garage. It is a very simple and tedious process. Nothing fun about it at all.

Sounds like the developers failed to translate the super exciting life of a tow truck driver! How could they fail at that!?

If you can get passed the buggy fines, the tedious towing procedure will ruin the game for you. You are doing the same thing over and over without much of a challenge. I advise everyone to avoid this game. Try another towing simulator, because it can't get worse than this one.

Man let me take out my "Towing Simulators" catalog right now and find one of many with better reviews.

I demand screenies, or even better, a video. (of you, not others)

Noone said this was supposed to be brand new(in a This-came-out-last-week-new) because I Just got Fallout 1, and the two expansions to Hearts of Iron 2(yeah my computer is very very very low end) And so far I havent even realy started on Fallout because the two expansions have so much to offer.

I just got Star Control 2- specifically, the Ur-Quan Masters Port. I'm only about an hour into the game so far, loving it! However, piloting the ship gets a little tedious.

oh wow I think I remember playing that recently, sometime in 2009 or 2010. Ur Quan Masters rings a huge bell, but that game was a wee bit boring and fighting was very difficult after the first couple skirmishes.

I got EE2 with the expansion - Art of Supremacy - & Sins of a Solar Empire, all for under £10. :D

Then I realised my copy of EE2 was Singleplayer only.

(Seriously, why would you do that? Why, I have half a mind to -)

Yeah, I actually got my 3DS some 14 days but didn't want any of the games out, before I saw the 3d in this game I didn't think it was that impressive but now it's pretty awesome!

I downloaded the new EU III Chronicles for a disgustingly low price and now I don't need to download three or four packages just to reinstall the game. Gamer's Gate are my new Internet best friends. :)

I'm currently downloading Team Fortress 2, now that it's gone free to play. If I like it enough I might buy something from the MannCo store to support them and get a full account.

Same here, though I already bought it for the 360 before. (What a big mistake that was...)

I got Sonic Rivals 2! My friend-ish thing picked it up at work; somebody dropped it. Ah well, free game!

Now, there's no Rivals 3 so I should assume the worst. This will be amusing.

I need to get onto XBL somehow so I can download that Sonic Generations demo...

Yeah, I agree. I daresay it's the first time I've played a game with a sidequest that I didn't feel was a total chore.

The entire game is a sidequest

I feel for anyone who actually bought it. I borrowed it and it served as a good week's worth of entertainment.
