The Impressions of NESing

I did a whole new list, with lots of more people involved.

***

alex994 - Don't really know him. But he seems a bit.. reserved. More of an ideological than practical player, perhaps? If so, then that is truly admirable in the real life, altough perhaps not so much in a game of NES.

Amon Savag - Funny, every1 thinks he is great (which he prolly is) but I just remember the newbie-Amon.. his "prime time" in NESing seems to have been when I was in the army.

andis-1 - Decently good, at least on the field of military strategy. And a Finn! :)

Azale - "Azale's American Empire NES", the very first one I joined back in the easter of 2003! He is all-around good player, wether we are talking about nation-building, diplomacy or military warfare. Clever guy for a right-wing nutcase and fun to talk to on AIM. Oh dear God how I miss his old NESes

conehead234 - A future doctor. Don't know him well but he seems like a very good player, seems to me like one of those diplomatic manouverers which used to win tons of NESes back in the old days when the game was a bit different but are now run over by the military people. Altough I may have to change this opinion, one way or another, when I get to know his playing style more, this is just the impression I've got.

Cuivienen - She seems like an intelligent girl, based on a couble of AIM discussions we had a long time ago. I don't know much about her playing style, but it seems "stagnant" if you know what I mean; something inbetween of practical and ideological. She doesn't really seem to be either.. Hard to explain, but thats the impression I've got. Maybe its more of an intuitive style? Just guessing, because women often are like that :D

das - satan (I know most of you think he is God, but trust me on this one: his great nesing powers come from the dark side ;)). and a great mod and a good player on all aspects of the game.

Disenfranchised - guy who enjoys queues greatly. seems like a good player altough I haven't played that much against him. I still miss DisNES 1!

Dreadnought - Rhodes! ;) Well thats all I know about the guy, haven't played much with / against him. I'll surely get new impressions, though, once my FBONES2 developes :p

emu - wears a bowler hat. and thinks I do cossack dances. misses the good old days, as do I from time to time.

erez87 - pretended once to be a woman. that was quite amusing. not perhaps the most trustworthy player, I don't remember a single time I wouldn't have been backstabbed by him when being allied!

Erik Mesoy - Norway. Druids and other fantasy stuff.

Finmaster - Useless piece of ****.

Gladinia - Erik Mesoy's little sister who is a bit ashamed of her young age.

Grandmaster - for some reason I remember him playing Germany from an old azale NES, can't quite remember which one, and always associate him with Germany because of that. Good player, played Germany well in that old azzienezzie.

Insane_Panda - Well, France, naturally. I've really got hardly any impressions of him at the time being.

Israelite9191 - religious discussions. One of the few who understands the importance of religion in history. I've recently started to consider him quite a good player, he is a perfectionist and that makes him quite a nationbuilder. Altough that also means he sometimes takes too big burdens to carry, I remember the NESes he modded having huge and delayed updates.

Jason The King - used to be the greatest mod here. I hope he will find his old style again one day. I'm placing lots of hopes on the current stJNES ;)

JosefStalinator - Scandinavia, trogdorism. Did a fine job conquering Europe in FBONES1. Seems like one of those military strategist people to me, and quite competent on that field.

Kal'thzar - A nice guy... I think he tends to make occasional diplomatic blunders occasionally. DisNES1 comes mainly to mind. Altough maybe that was just an exception.

Kamilian - poland. more of an ideological than a practical player, especially when playing as poland/silesia. I'm not sure if I like that..

KrimzonStriker - got very mad after I attacked his Byzantium in ITNES. I used to think he was a noob because of that redicilious flame war, but I haven't played with / against him since then. I hope his attitude has improved.

Lord_Iggy - penguins. altough that is almost too obvious to mention. And biking accidents. Always writes funny stories and seems like a good nationbuilder. Haven't seen him in action on a warfield, though. Unfortunately.

Luckymoose - A newcomer who has potential to be a great neser. right-wing future officer.

Metaliturtle - oldtimer, who played extremely capably in FBONES1! we need more people like him if we ever want to have succesful retro NESes.

MjM - Banned! is what mainly comes to mind. Very aggressive, even when it might not be practical.

Sheep - A legend. Very aggressive, but plays practically and can manouver a lot in the field of diplomacy. I.e. a very good player!

silver 2039 - aggressive (well thats an understatement..). and a religious fanatic

stalin006 - we have this strange telepathic connection. he quessed the name of the Finnish town I live in! how scary is that.. but a legendary player on all fields of the game from military to diplomacy. Not to mention a great mod. Knows when its wise to be evil and when not to. it is wise most of the time, naturally ;).

Swissempire - His name is Chip. Well, so far he hasn't made much of an impression to me. I think he will improve, though.

TerrisH - Is one of the improving NESers I think. Played well in FBONES1.

thlayli - musketeer, ottomans. seems like a decently good player, but spams way, WAY too much.

Warman17 - Oldtimer, is into warfare. My impression is that he isn't always that practical.

Lol unfortunately I don't think I've ever had the pleasure to talk with you or play with you :p

why is may section so bleedin small!

Mine is rather undersized too. Shame on you Finn! :p

I'll offer a more extensive comment on this and some previous posts later.

I know and I considered adding you NK, but I didn't know what to say about you. I remember we were allied once but the game ended before turn 1 so I didn't really get a chance to get much of an impression one way or another :( I wouldn't like to use secondhand info about what kind of a person / player you are.. altough if I did, my impression would be nothing but positive.

@everyone (especially ones with just a short strip of text on the list / no text at all): So, people.. give me more impressions of yourselves, and I'll write more :D

Nothing about me, Finmaster?

Sorry, all I associate you with is you playing Sri Lanka for a very short time in FBONES1, I can't really say anything based on that :(

A couble of names I need to add, though:

grandmaster: for some reason I remember him playing Germany from an old azale NES, can't quite remember which one, and always associate him with Germany because of that. Good player, played Germany well in that old azzienezzie.

metaliturtle: oldtimer, who played extremely capably in FBONES1! we need more people like him if we ever want to have succesful retro NESes.

thlayli: musketeer, ottomans. seems like a decently good player, but spams way, WAY too much.

I dont know remember you being in that nes, I remember indirectly causing the Arabs and Israel to unite against me (erez was Israel) is that the one? I was Italy.

Kehexou definitely isn't stagnant.:p

Gladinia - Erik Mesoy's little sister who is a bit ashamed of her young age.
Gladinia's Erik's sister?

Lord_Iggy - penguins. altough that is almost too obvious to mention. And biking accidents. Always writes funny stories and seems like a good nationbuilder. Haven't seen him in action on a warfield, though. Unfortunately.
Speed skating accident actually.

thlayli - musketeer, ottomans. seems like a decently good player, but spams way, WAY too much.
Destroying them?

I am not an ideological player :p Purely pragmatic! Okay... Maybe I am ideological with my obsession with China. I assure you, I don't go around in real life speaking of the glorious Chinese People and Culture

Good thing,haha...Someone might turn you in as a suspected terrorist :p

Nonsense! They don't arrest Chinese people, they all know what Chinese people always want. A good job, education, lots of money... :mischief: We have no beef with violence you know, bad for business :p
