Both Fair And Balanced
Even almost all of the bad cops are smart enough not to show attitude towards those who appear to be rather affluent white people. Gee, what a surprise.
Right. Because everybody who gets harassed by the police is a "dumbass".
I don't see how any sort of statute depriving people from publicly recording the actions of the police will stand up. You obviously do not need the consent of every single person you videotape or photograph in public.

In other words, people who are legally trying to defend themselves against the criminal violent acts of some police are "dumbasses" for doing so?No, but people who fight with the cops are indeed being dumbass. Its a fight they arent going to win. If your harassed, dont fight back and lodge a complaint after the fact. Simple.
Got any examples of that ever happening?I dont mind people filming police so much. What I do mind is the video being used as conclusive evidence when it still only shows a single frame of reference. Often there are still things the camera doesnt see, and that needs to be taken into account as well.

Should i now go grab some youtube videos of cops harassing white folks?
1234567890u.s. Department of justice report on police use of force released in 2001 indicated that in 1999, "approximately 422,000 people 16 years old and older were estimated to have had contact with police in which force or the threat of force was used."[13] research shows that measures of the presence of black and hispanic people and majority/minority income inequality are related positively to average annual civil rights criminal complaints.[14]
@Systerion: Yeah, being a cop is a dangerous job. Not every use of force is harassment, surely you realize this. And if its whites that get this priviledge and its a race thing....then why arent more asians complaining of harassment? My thinking on this would undoubtedly be deemed rasist, but I think it boils down to recognition and acceptance of authority along racial lines.

What is funny is that it even frequently occurs with black and Latino cops. But as the article I recently posted in the Arizona immigration thread shows, Mexicans and Mexican-Americans are apparently typically more law-abiding than even WASPs, despite being constantly profiled by the police in some of the border states.Maybe cops are racist in different ways towards different races. In the sense that they're more likely to be violent with black or hispanic people, but will be overall more disrespectful of the language, culture, and accent of asians.
Regardless of what you think
That's pretty much a perfect way of expressing it, yeah.If the government can videotape me in a public place, I should be able to videotape the government in a public place.
After all, what exactly do they have to hide besides their own incompetence or ciminal activities. If the government can videotape me in a public place, I should be able to videotape the government in a public place.
