If I may make a suggestion:
Optik made some very good Pre-Columbian civilizations (with leaderheads) a while back, and they still function, IIRC. Adding those might be interesting for RP.
The list of civs:
Carribean (Arawak/Taino/Karib amalgam)
Tupi
Mapuche
Zapotec
Maya
Chibcha
Sioux

Adding those (Plus the official Pre-Columbian civs, and maybe Poly) might make for a more immersive experience.

An interesting idea but I'm not entirely sure how to do all that and I don't wish to delay the game to work on figuring it out.

Under the modbrowser, look up ANAC (Civ pack). All of them are in there, just check the mod to use it.

That being said, there is another Inca civ in there, so, if the civs aren't manually checked, you might run the chance of ending up with it in the game. Which isn't necessarily a problem, it runs closer to the Northern Incan empire then it does to the true one.

Edit: Not sure if the Incan text keys conflict, but I can post a version of this mod and the one below that will be compatible.

Also, if you do opt for the above, Pouakai made a Templo Mayor wonder (15% wonder production in city that builds it).
