If all the world's gasoline powered cars where converted into electric cars how much would the world's electric demand increase?

That depends. Are these conversions happening to the same models or is everyone going to get one of the pre-existing electric cars to replace their gas car?

That we replaced them with electric over a time period. I am not looking for an exact number just a general feel for it. Is it 1%, 10%, 100% or a 1000% increase in electricity demand?

Gas engines are anywhere from 60 - 80% efficient (iirc) in terms of converting the chemical energy of the gasoline into mechanical energy of the car moving. Electric power generation is about 80 - 90% efficient (again, iirc).

We all know that even secondhand smoke is bad for us. My question is, how does living with cigarette smokers affect household pets, such as cats, dogs, birds, etc?

Well, I'm glad you are concerned with secondhand smoke rather than the pantywaists dithering about thirdhand smoke.

I don't mean to be a nag, but it seems my question has not been answered (perhaps because it was at the bottom of the page)?

    So I'll ask again:

Since there is a conservative group for members on this site, are there any left wing groups as well? I'd like to join.

I don't think a few different lines of genetic code will protect you from the numerous harmful substances found in cigarette smoke.

I'm pretty sure there're others. There's one for socialists, I think.

Can someone tell me what's so unique and endearing about Endless Space? I keep running into commenters who gush about how awesome it is, but I don't see anything that Galatic Civilizations II or Master of Orion II didn't already do. And no, I'm not interested in graphics.

    It's fun to play.

What other reason should there be?

The only one I can come up with which is American-themed is Chico's. The webpage doesn't look very American, I never visited it before, but I walk past their windows about every day, and they have always some sort of American theme: New York, California, South, Mexican, Hawaii....

Why people eat there, beats me. I don't eat there. I'd think bigger reason than the theme is moderate prices, that you know what you get when visiting there etc.

The one in mah hood, is always almost empty.

Yes. The principle by which second hand smoking damages human lungs would affect all similar animals.

We have TGI Friday's, but that's a chain - not to mention god-awful - and Frankie & Benny's, which is a fairly good Italian-American chain.
