The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

Care to show us your empire, strijder? :D

I was actually already planning to write a report of that game :)

Aww, how cute :)

The Italian UU is completely worthless  It can't even win against units from three eras ago!

Korea likes to have things neat and tidy, and that's why they decided to put their cities on a straight line and let them have the same population.

^ Oh come ON. It's a great UU. You just need to combine it with Tanks.

Same as Musketeers in BTS. Just need to use them with Knights.

Just kidding here. I think strijder too just wanted to complain about his bad combat luck, and decided to blaim the Bersaglieri. It's not a terribly powerful UU but it doesn't need to be. Infantry are widely used so even a second-class bonus has some weight.

No wonder Spain didn't get conquerors yet. They were too busy looking eastwards.

Sometimes I feel really bad for Mali. Timbuktu burned twice.

Seems like a barbarian uprising event destroyed Parsa and Zoroastrianism along with it.

Didn't know barbarians can still destroy holy cities.

SVN is a version control software, I use it to distribute my unfinished work for the next version of the mod. The main thread (i.e. "Dawn of Civilization - an RFC modmod by Leoreth") has a more detailed explanation in the main post.

This made me ragequit.

France UHV attempts so far: 2.

Also, second screenshot is unrelated, and from a different game but...

What was the Name of England, when they were vassal of the Mughals?

Yup, was just joking about my combat luck. Bersaglieris are very nice, had a lot of fun by sending duos of them to pillage all of Spain.

Unfortunately, I never got it.
They broke free on the turn I made contact with them.
It was still incredibly interesting to see though.
I'm guessing that England got Trading Company conquerors
as Mughals got Astronomy and moved in a megastack to wipe them out.

From an American save:

Looks like the Spaniards took New York from the Dutch! The whole Eastern Seaboard was Spanish, so I suppose for this game I'll be Los Estados Unidos... :P

The Vikings have a pretty solid grip on Northern Europe (sans England) and the Canadian Maritimes. Husavik there makes me wonder if perhaps the Vikings managed to settle Vinland in the Middle Ages for once.

Both of the Romes are still alive. :D

And... Ravenna? Never seen this city here before.

The grand Mongol island of Novaya Zemlya... :P

That reminds me I need to change Narjan-Mar. It uses Italian instead of English transliteration.

This picture reminds me that the AI really needs to like workers more, when conquering - or founding - cities on a new island or continent. Goes especially after Rifling, where it'll take that little caribbean island or unimproved Dublin three million turns to build a Rifleman.

(And that Husavik should be banned, and the AI only be allowed to found Reykjavik, but that's a less important issue ;) )

Well Vikings in south India besieged by France, that's a new one. Also never seen Eyalet of Sharazor before :)
