Defense ministry reported about drone attack on airbase in Syria. 13 UAVs armed with explosives were launched from territory controlled by Turkish-backed rebels. 6 or 7 were shot down by air defenses, others were jammed and landed using radio-electronic countermeasures.

Earlier in December, the base came under mortar fire, probably from infiltrated rebels squad. Two servicemen were killed, few planes damaged.

Hahahaha these look just like the 'drones' they had us build in one of my lab courses in college.

These ones were most likely intended for one time use. But supposedly have 50-100 km range, which is more advanced than anything rebels have used so far.
 
If they had explosives on them it sounds as if they were meant to be airborne suicidal attackers.
