Honestly, if you really want to stop illegal immigration, the only option is to be very tough on the people hiring these illegal immigrants. To make sure that the fines for hiring them outweigh the cost savings. No party is going to do that, since the people who pay for the campaigns are largely the people who hire immigrants.

I am not impressed. I consider Juan and his wife and five kids, a far greater threat to the USA than a transient drug smuggler.
It depends upon how you define what a threat is.
BUT even that is not needed. It can be as simple as 'I dont want them here'
I have every right as a citizen of the USA to feel that way, and to comment on it.

It's not your country. If there are more illegals then 'legals', who just happened to be born there or with sufficient wealth to migrate legally, and if they choose to use that numerical superiority, then it's their good right.
(I assume you mean by 'illegals' former illegals, since there's no way someone who's illegal is going to get any position of power)

I think it IS my country =) And if enough people agree with me, we can make laws and enforce them. But first we need a President that doesnt ignore laws he doesnt agree with. That is tyranny.

It could be that I dont like US politicians being extorted and blackmailed by extant illegals and those who support them.
One would think that not wanting the US government to be suborned by criminals would be enough of a reason. But apparently not.

I think we've got some trouble on semantics here.
It is indeed your country in a way, but in another way you only 'own' 1/300.000.000 part of it.
I know what ZPG is...certainly enough to know that it doesn't really have anything to do with immigration.
My politics are green actually. Conservatives serve only for the purpose of fighting illegal immigration.

ZPG is for Zero Population Growth...you'd need the fertility rate to equal the death rate. If Juan and his kids aren't crossing the border...they are still having the kids.
Unless you are arguing that only the US, instead of the world, needs ZPG.
